depends.... 265 on 10+38 and 0 deg camber + guards level with tyres will require a roll and a bit of a push, more than just a lip.

depends on how agressive you go.

285 and you will have to be fairly aggressive or flare

33gtst guards are fairly generous when rolling,

I'd say you would easily be able to get the 265's without flaring as long as you pump the whole guard out a bit.

need to roll then set the guard roller high up in the guard and use it to push the whole area.

I had 18 x 9.5 +12 w 235/40 and tyres tucked a little with almost 0 camber and 0 scrub from pumping the guards

this is slightly more aggressive than what you are looking at with the 265's and with 285's the outside top edge of the tyre will sit in approximately the same spot, but with a slightly bulged sidewall.

so yeah, for the 285's it's possible without flaring but you would need a serious pump

The 34 took 275/35 on the rear with no hassle at all, the 285 have a larger rolling diameter too, 265/35 is closest to factory i think...

Run 265, roll the guards and don't be afraid of using a bit of neg camber (-0.5°).

I run this setup and it hooks up OKish with 265 RSR, well once its through 3rd anyhow, with a better tyre and better throttle control i think itll be pretty good!

Brief update, which seems kind of relevant given recent questions on 265s.

This is 18x10 +38 with 265/35. Have recently had suspension adjusted and now at zero camber on rear. Before was more than 2deg, didn't realise was that much

Still no problems at all with rubbing after adjustment, have had a fairly light roll, no pull or flare.

View from the top. Poking by maybe 5 mm.

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
