nah, the ECR34 nismo speedo for about 1grand is about right :D

Another option is the Tommy Kaira one which is about a grand too

yeah i test drove a white 34gtt with the tommy k dash, i didnt like the digital speedo much though!

And for the same money [$1k] i prefer the Nismo dash - except i dunno if i like the yellow / orange text on it. what colour is it @ nite i wonder?

If anybody ever doubted R33 GTS-T's ever had Cruise as an option,,,Take a look at the Throttle Cable Bracket on the Inlet Manifold,,,YES it has an extra spot for another cable and then look at the Throttle Body Shaft,,,,ahhhh extra long,,,just to take the 2nd Spindle for the Cruise Cable.

I want Cruise,,,,,

Denham,

I haven't put my speedo on yet, too busy. Hope it's easy enough to do by myself as I never dismantle my dashboard before.

Does anyone know if that speed check thing on Princes Fwy from Geelong inbound still works? The one that displays your speed on the monitors under the crossover bridge. Ever since they had a roadwork there I never seen em working again.

That's one place where you can check if 100 km/h on your speedo is really 100km/h. Or you cross reference with another car, ask your mate/bro/sis to follow you doing 60/80/100 and then check if their speedo reading and yours are similar. I did that once with my old 86 Cressida and found that to cruise at "real" 60km/h, I need to speed up to 70km/h as that old speedo was buggered!

No wonder when I drove that old car 60km/h on the main road, 10 out of 10 ppl are tailgating me! In reality, I was travelling 50km/h only hahaha...

nice price rev ~ they must have dropped recently!

rs73: the speedo check is back up! I have used it twice in the last few weeks ~ my reading was only 1 km/h out. Needle was dead on 100 and it reported 101 - I got exactly the same reading twice.

so in theory being 1% out isnt too bad, plus its better to know which way its out too [doing 60 for me is really 60.6].

Considering I have different sized wheels and tyres to standard this is very acceptable. Standard ones will be near on dead accurate cause I know from calculations which way it will go.

Sorry started to get a bit carried away there.../end rant :D

its better to actually drive past those speed checks at like 160km/h they flash * slow down slow down *

Remember when they started those 50km/h in built up areas speed limit and they had those mobile speed check down sidestreets? Well there was 1 down my street for about a week so me and my friends played games in the night with it to see who could get the fastest speeds from certain points down my street to the speed detector.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
