yeah, i guess it could be a little bit leaner 11.5 is still pretty juicy....from looking at your a/f there isnt much room for bad fuel is there? your not too worried about that?

not really as i always use 98 and the guys and dyno that tuned mine has a 480rwkw GTR running similiar a/f's and he knows what hes doing!:D

around 12.0 or so is perfect a/f for our cars!

i had 151rwkw with half an exhaust, filter and 0.6bar...

a friend got 161rwkw bone stock, r33 series2 auto with a manual gearbox conversion *only* ?!?!?

moral of the story? comparing apples and oranges. as much as i'd like to compare it to your figures, i can't. On the same dyno, i could get two different readouts within an hour of each other...

my car is tuned with the afr between 11.8-12.2 this is basically a streight line after the after it drops from running 14.4 in the light load stuff,

franks you would pick up about 15rwkw with a good tune, then some more with boost, get the fuel right and you may have to addjust the timing accordingly.

did u see the HPI magazine R34GTT project car?

they pulled near 200rwkw with basically the same mods u have but 12psi boost!

You should get your retuned man!

I think that 13 is too lean, but it depends where in the power band that it is occuring. Usually 12-12.5 is about as lean as you want to go, otherwise one lot of shit fuel and your in serious trouble.

They may say that your leaning out due to not enough fuel, either buy a bigger pump or fit a fuel pressure regulator.

Yeah, I recall the HPI r34 project had similar power to Franks, but it was in stock form then. *mental note to re-read that tonight*

yeah i think they said it got around 160kw@wheels in stock form.

I am sure they got around 200kw@wheels with the same mods as franks got. They only blew the turbo when they took it for a run on the track which was after all the engine mods were done, thats when they rebuilt the turbo.

is this all on the HPI's DVD/Video's?

Yeah thanks...i'm not getting enough fuel. What does a fuel pressure regulator cost (estimate)?

    • So my rb is finally having more problems. 2 issues here but I'm here to just to mainly discuss the rattle noise. The other day when I turned on the car and when I take off or go in reverse, there is a temporary rattle noise but when I cruise, boost, idle it's completely fine no rattle whatsoever. I've also done all the servicing, all the health checks you can think of and it all passes with flying colours.  Also the rattle doesn't increase with rpm, it's only at a very certain rpm (slightly above 1,100rpm). My other car also has the same issue every once in a while. Changed the oil recently, no difference. Even took my oil to a lab and everything was quite good surprisingly. Timing belt changed a while ago to. Had the car on the hoist and can't see anything obvious. Tightened a couple of nuts on the exhaust manifold a couple of months ago. 2 different clips uploaded. One of them was supposed to another issue but I'll save that for another time. Thought I'd see if anyone had this same noise before, it's a bit hard to diagnose while it's intermittent. If I'm not mistaken, I think I had this a while back but can't remember exactly. I was thinking if it's doable I'll get someone to hold the throttle cable at 1,100rpm and hopefully it replicates the sound. rb25det rattle only.mp4 rb25det slow start + rattle.mp4
    • Haha wow, yes they do! Will sort tomorrow.
    • Yeah I’ll know when I take it for a test drive and I’ll double check the turbos as well when I have a look at it again.  Just thought maybe they might have done something in the head cause it looks like they’ve taken off the rocker covers 🤔 Thanks for your info!
    • As Duncan mentioned it's likely a remapped ECU, like the the one listed in the link I post earlier:  https://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/444260/car/444612/2099320/parts.aspx He quoted 444PS with an unopened engine and twin GT2510s @ 1.1bar boost... sounds about right?
