All i wanted was 6,500 ova 4 years. What im going to do is get a really good friend of the family that has known me my whole life and lived with me for some of that to garantee the loan for me. She owns a few houses and has worked for the commonwelth back for a about 9 years untill she had her little boy. Her hubby works on the rigs, so they have a nice income coming in. That should work. And im going to wait 2 to 3 months and show a good savings pattern. Then i should get it. If not im going to hit my rich aunti and uncle for a loan.

banks are bastards but there's this place that watches them. i've forgotten who but they gave me a nasty phone call a year or so ago when i applied for three loans from three lenders in one afternoon. i really wanted the car and i wasn't trying to be smart either. just thought if i got rejected i'd have backup etc. but insted i got denied a loan for 6 months!. it sucked. i really wanted the car and my parents are tight as.

hope this saves someone

;)

and the car i wanted was brought by some chump younger than me whos parents gave him the money. i heard since that he lost his license for doing stupid speeds in a sixty zone and was recently involved in a major crash. shame because it was a SWEET car! but now it's gone and he is probably pushing my insurance rates up! ;)

kyles - keep trying - your not asking for a huge amount of money - ive seen people that have had financial difficulties in the past ask for $20,000 and have it approved. Cant believe they knocked you back for that amount!!

commonwealth approved a loan for me for $4000. I didnt end up going thru with it cos the folks lent me the money so im currently paying them off. I only earned 19K a year at the time (thankfully now i earn a lot more) and that was over 3 years. Your only asking for $2,500 extra not that much - thats my credit card limit. Cant understand why they wont give it to you!

    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
