Alex,

Yeah, his cars quite quick now, we had a race down the freeway, only up to 100 though *cough*

See'ya:burnout:

yeah. not any more. His old man MELTED his clutch. MELTED!!

I could still smell it when we were driving down the freeway on the way home.

Im not really surpised. I would have said that his car is about half a second quicker than mine. plus a little bit for driver noobiness. seems about right.

so who got to 100 first?

There is always an upside Niz.

All i need to do is go sit in a park on a windy day or go for a drive at night to realise how great the world is. I love the feeling of insignificance means i can determine my own path.

    • Heh. I copied the link to the video direct, instead of the thread I mentioned. But the video is the main value content anyway. Otherwise, yes, in Europe, surely you'd be expected to buy local. Being whichever flavour of Michelin, Continental or Pirelli suits your usage model.
    • Continental have consistently beaten the absolute shit out of every other performance tyre in Wet/Damp/Cold conditions and give up a little bit of time (half a second at most) in the dry. Almost like it's engineered for German conditions or something. I'd def give those a try.
    • I refer you to this thread on PF, by someone who knows what he's doing. Paints a good picture of the humble AD09.
    • Ha, I've never pressed the X in all these years incase it removed the notification for all Admins
    • I don't know, I've never done it that way, but 1. While it is an interference engine, there is still clearance between the valves and the piston at all points in the regular timing cycle 2. There is not a lot of distance before you can't catch the top of the valve stem any more I don't know if 2 is greater or less than 1. But 3. If it doesn't work out you are f**ked, engine is coming out to disassemble so it is a big bet.
