haha well the other side was rusty - and if my brakes got that good-a workout they wouldnt be rusty

least now everyone realises im not a whinging female and their was really something wrong!! ..... and at least Cam did my rear and not my front!!

ones been snapped for a while Richie .... but it satin such a way on the caliper that it didnt leak - when they changed my pads yesterday they saw it .... its bent and snapped ... and just disintergrated when they took caliper off.

Other one is rusty and probably pay me to get that replaced as well.

And my disc were so badly in need of machining that theeir machine was "heavy duty" enough for the job so they had to take them to someone else.

that sounds like my old front brakes, they were getting really spongy and when i pulled off the wheels to get the suspension off we found that the caliper centre seals were gone on both sides.. that and the discs looked like they had ridges in them!

My brakes are good now but they shudder when they get hot cause they werent bled properly when they were changed.

yes the place said i was a very lucky girl!!!!

thats why on the country cruises i didnt push it as much because i knew something wasnt right with the brakes!

hmmm have to make sure im alright for cruise Sunday then - cos i will have New n Improved brakes to test

well it'll give me the confidence to shove my foot on the accelarator more cos now at least i know i can stop!!

yeah got to iron out this roughness in my car .... i was listening to it when they started it up at brake place and yeah its sounding a bit like an old jallopy!

gotta get price on Redline Gearbox oil today for paulie - all 18Litres of it. Oh and i was at the brake place looking thru a holden mag .... thats all they had honest .... and there was a picture of my mechanic 'ironing' out some problems on some featured guys car ....... bloody trev he is!

haha i cant believe that you let a Trev do all the work!

I have to change my gearbox oil too, mines getting a little crunchy, i dont think that is has ever been changed.

My mate is getting some stuff though where he works.

I have still got a couple of thoudans kms till my next service, luckily...

    • Yeah in that case, pulling the dent out. Event a very slight dent can create a lot of work filler-wise and there is a strong chance the panel won't be the factory shape when you are done (as the dent will result in a new high point created somewhere, then everything is brought up to that new high point... but the panel shouldn't be that high if that makes sense).  So you've filled and primed the panel and it is flat, why would you go back and remove the primer and add more filler?
    • Something else I have been faffing with while the car was off the road is making the AC work. Assuming the car isn't at a thermal limit the idea of having AC while waiting in line to go on track sounds delightful. I have actually been lugging around the weight of the entire system since 2018 when the RB25NEO went in without it working at all.  The main reason was in the first few events before I got around to re-gassing it the rubber hose that runs under the manifold had the factory heat wrap/sleeve fail resulting in this: ~2 years ago I purchased a complete used R32 AC line set but when I finally went to install it the line i needed was different where the expansion section is I found a local place that was able to replace the rubber section and re-crimp. They also added some modern heat sleeve to the hose Tight fit but fingers crossed this is the last physical piece of the puzzle needed
    • the top black section is bonded to the silver section with some form of rubber. I assume to isolated NVH from the box
    • Plan B? Get someone to machine up a metal bush/collar/whatever it needs to be to replace the rubber? I haven't had a close look at that part recently to have a proper feel for whether that's possible. But it might be easy.
    • I do not want to install a short shifter and the only other stock throw shifter I have seen is the Nismo "Rigid shifter" for $290 So plan A is to fill it with sikaflex to stiffen it up and hope for the best
