bam - theres a kickass thread on the 30 conversion in forced induction performance.

I think the conclusion to date has been that the RB30E block with shot peened RB30E (N/A) rods - should be sufficient for some very high HP.

they'll definately be looking at forged pistons if theyre talking tens anyway.

they'll prolly manage they do a lot of cars nationwide who drive down to get their cars rebuilt, tuned by these ppl so their not exactly incompetent

just that they dun wanna have to buy stuff twice...they want everything bought and shipped one time so they wanna know whut else they need from here that they couldnt get from there which would be anything RB30

forgies they definately used :P

    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
    • Sounds like a misfire. Check fuel pressure and don't even think about going into boost while it's like this unless you enjoy engine rebuilds.
