Hi all. Just checking in. One hell of a night shift, just cleared out my workshop for household rubbish collection, no food since yesterday sometime and no sleep.

Getting slightly edgy.

Oh, did I mention no Skyline to take on a relaxing Sunday drive, because my alarm is playing up, and I can't drive it until the entire system is ripped out and replaced?

The Hilux is just not the same, so I am here deep relaxing breathing...

Yes, false alarm last night. The noise was my incredible neighbour who came over to see if I was OK. He checked out the entire yard, and stayed until my husband got home.

And then stayed for a couple of hours to dismantle alarm.

At the time I didn't know it was him, just heard noises. Only found out it was him when my husband came to the door with him.

At one point a police car came down the street at high speed with sirens going. I thought Yay, I'm saved! but they didn't stop, even when they must have seen my alarm going off. A few minutes later the police helicopter came over.

My neighbour also told us that the night before someone had disconnected their power in their meter box, so now I am a little worried.

But after all of that my baby is safe, and nothing on earth could start her now, so a thief wouldn't have a chance if they came tonight.

Note to myself, try not to be so cowardly when someone is messing with my baby!

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
