yeah i dont have the money for widebody ..... i dont have the money for a tin of baked beans at the moment .... but i think i would go mechanical work (go fast bitz) before i did widebody.

do you have pics Aidwin??

i just want to know which one im getting when i ask for Veilside wing ..... i think its the first one as its the only one thats featured on Fibrevisions website.

agree, wide-body does cost lots. like the look of the white R33 GTS-T at last years PAS with the wide-body but!

have you guys seen pics of my 240Z? here is a link to some

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...t=RB26DETT+240Z

Steve @ SST want me to bring it to PAS for SST trade stand but its not yet finished...

240Z: i own a Z31 300zx ....... ok so they look shithouse on the street but you havent seen this one :D i'll post pics in a moment .... i love my baby and its faster than the whale :D and my evil parents are about to sell it!! I was originally going to get a Z32 ...... mmmmm with 20 inch rims .... but they are hard to work on and apparently a R33 is going to be more "cost effective" .... still :drooling: everytime i see a Zed tho!! I love Skylines ..... but my first love was always Zeds!! & you never forget your first love :D

Dan: FREE .... but they cost about $720 painted and fitted new ..... dad got a price of $730 when he rang ..... when i rang i got a price of $620  so i dont know ..... but who cares!!

yeah zeds are a top looker, I love lots of cars but have a soft spot fo a nice zed... would love to see your Z31.

But I like 240Z...skip skip...then the 350Z! (one day the 350Z will going the garage, but after a house)

sold my 911 to fund the project, so that has to say something!

Z31 are ok too, the 200ZR version is the pick of the crop for that shape as they came with RB20DET from factory, which means that a RB26DETT conversion is a natural progression for it :D

    • Nah that is not actually a lot. Just painting my GTR frontend and the little bits to make sideskirts/nismo flare pieces work correctly/fit on the sedan/mount up correctly came to about $7000. Is it a lot? Sure. None of this is economical. Economy would be shelling the car and buying a 2010 Corolla to commute in. The perspective of all of this is different.
    • I have the re003s’ on my 06 XT Forester Turbo and I highly rate them for street wet and dry
    • I don't see any issues here. I've been saying all along this is a big job, the price reflects that.  When the car comes back perfect I'm sure it will feel like money well spent.
    • Remember, take original quote. Double it. Then add a bit more. It's how any project goes.
    • So, I started this repair and got as far as "fixing" the holes with some fibreglass. God all those years working on boats came back quickly. I decided I'd reach out to some rust guys just to see what they would say about it. I came across a guy about 40 mins away and went to see him. He said the windscreen needs to come out, that there might be some more bits around the windscreen and he'd quote them at the time. But his quote was $300 to remove and replace windscreen and $3k for the damage he can see. He said he could respray the roof for $1200 and the bonnet for another $800 (somebody has previously rattle canned it, its horrendous). This is $5300 + any small additional bits. It's a lot, I get that and the name of one of my fave youtube channels 'Not Economically Viable' comes to mind.  I'm not being financially rational, but I've taken him up on the quote. He's opening a new shop in November with more room, so we're waiting for that. I'll leave the currently missing headliner out until then. I'm looking forward to it being fixed and having the paint looking nice again (lots of clear coat issues on the roof too). / flame suit on.
