FLYER:

Dear Valued Customer,

Our Dyno room is finally completed. We now have one of the best rooms in the Country. It is sound insulated and has massive air flow (6 changes to the whole room per minute). Our Dyno software has also been upgraded to the latest Winpep 7 which is Windows based with air/fuel ratio attachment and logging. All temperatures and pressures are automatically calibrated every second, so the accuracy is unquestionable.

To celebrate this, we would like to invite you to our Dyno day, which will be held at BD4's on October 8th 2005.

I'm happy for BD4's that they got a new dyno/room but what a waste of their time. Building an entire new room to house a 2wd dyno when their target market really is heavily populated by 4WD cars seems a bit stupid.

I'm just whinging because i still dont know where a decent local 4WD dyno is :(

I beleive its $60 for power run inc bbq and catering.

for 4wd cars its $60+40 (inc taking out front drive shaft) which is pretty time consuming and will hold people up. BD4s is a very nice workshop. Agreed 4wd dyno would be nice, but so is the price tag that comes with it! over $70k for RWD and over $160k for 4wd. do the maths?

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
