Hi ,

Just wondering if anyone out there is interested in purchasing some GT-R prints?

The images come from Dino Dalle Carbonare in Japan. You would have no doubt seen his work in HPI and DriftBattle mags.

They are approx:30 x 20 inch (760 x 500mm) and are printed on photographic paper (not some dodgy inkjet, quality LED printing), they come unmounted, delivered in a postal tube.

Also limited range of JGTC prints.

These will be the start of a new range of automotive prints from my business.

The cost will be $80 (incl. GST) + $5 postage and handling. I need to have some idea on numbers before I proceed with a print run.

PLEASE NOTE: Price change to $55 + incl. GST plus postage of $5. I need minimum of 20 orders of print for this price. This is a SAU price only.

Thanks

Yes, I knew the price would be the first thing everyone would jump on but without having any figures for quantities it's hard to set a break even point.

Sadly the images themselves are not given to me, they must be paid for and images of this quality are not cheap. Likewise the printing process is not cheap, but it is the best quality I could find. I'm looking to supply 1st class prints, not cheap crap. There is sadly enough rubbish around already.

I believe that if you look around the pricing isn't as bad as you think, these are not posters, they are large photographic prints. The print is good for 100 years if displayed under the correct conditions (i.e no direct sun, etc).

Selling them unmounted, although you won't probably believe this, is a way of trying to cut cost's. Framed or block mounted would add too much to not only the price of the actual print but blows the cost of delivery out to the extreme. Packaging, insurance and finding someone who can actually deliver them without damage is harder than you think.

Also choosing frames or even mounting styles creates problems, not everyone likes the same thing.

By the way, this isn't some huge company trying to flog you stuff. Just one bloke working from home in between work and family committments.

Keep the feedback coming.

Cheers

Just a quick clarification, the JGTC images are not from Dino but from another photographer in Japan.

Oh, and of course the images you see here are low res.

Don't have any R-33 stuff at the moment, I'll see what Dino has available. Also will try and source some R-32 shots. I know that he has shot Garage Saurus R-32. Must admit it seems like everyone is only doing R-34's now in Japan.

I'm happy to say that the price will drop if I can secure 20 orders of an individual print. I've done a deal with the lab who output the prints and there giving me a discount on a 20 print minimum order.

The new price will be $55 (incl. GST) + $5 Postage & Handling.

Please don't forget that these images are not available anywhere else.

I have contacted Dino in Japan and he's going to sort some images of R-32/33's for me so hopefully I'll have some new images available soon.

Also looking at framing and mounting options again, so stay tuned.

I'm still looking for feedback on what everyone would be interested in.

Cheers

thats good pricing if pics of the 32s and 33's are nice i would consider getting a 32, 33 and a 34 photo. i will keep an eye on this thread.

ps if you are getting a 33 make it the midnight purple one :)

I'll see what I can do for you, but please remember I need 19 other people to want the same image to get the lower pricing.

Cheers

  • 3 weeks later...

Btw can u get any jap workshop or JGTC RX7's ?

Here is everthing i have at the moment. This on top whats already posted.

Which price were you looking at? I can be a bit flexible price wise on images I already have but anything new is going to be more than $55 for 1 off prints.

I can source images from just about everything in Japan (and Europe for that matter) but to do 1 off prints from images I buy they would up end costing over $200.

(purchase image from photographer + layout/computer + printing = big$)

Not trying to scare people off or go the big whinge but I need to sell at least 10-15 of each print to break even.

Cheers

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
