CNR33
Hey guys This has been bothering me for a while, but coming into summer, I'd like to get it ironed out. Not always, but quite frequently when i drive, HOT air seems to pour out of the small hoses located above your feet behind the dash. (Basically if you've got your left foot on the foot rest or clutch, its going to get warm fast). The problem only occurs when the a/c is off, and if i turn it on, it seems to stop. Had a passanger yesterday that wasn't too impressed when her shoes nearly caught fire! Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/89695-melting-feet/ Share on other sites

Frunknmont
Does it happen when the climate control is on or off? When I had the CC off completely I would get hot air coming through but if I turned it on(without A/C) it would try to keep it at whatever temp was set-no more melty feet for me Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/89695-melting-feet/#findComment-1619460 Share on other sites
ed
Check the sensors. Do the air-con diagnostic and it will tell you if something is wrong. Most likely the outside air temp sensor is fux0red. The Wolf .
I had this problem, all i did was hit the button second from the right underneith the ON/OFF swtches of the A/C. It blocks off all incoming air, this should solve it me thinks. (B1) MR_fanny
i used to get then until i learned how to use the cycle air button. the one which lets the air flow through from outside or closed. just switch it to closed cycle and it should stop. well it did for me. JeeTeeEss25Tee
Agree with the 2 posts above. Most likely caused from hot air running through your engine. By the way was imagining a natural reaction from the lady passenger having hot air coming underneath would be to put her feet up on the dash Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/89695-melting-feet/#findComment-1620856 Share on other sites

MacGuyver
I've actually got this problem too. Only started to notice it after I'd taken my car in to get tuned, so naturally I thought they must have done something wrong. Thanks for the solution guys! (He he, shoes catching on fire, not good!)
