Recommended Posts

My heart dropped when I found this out Donnie,

My eyes are peeled and the plate is on paper in my console but a car of that quality will not be seen again.

Maybe fire off some emails on Partsfind.com.au for engine quotes and then ask for engine numbers if you wanna go Miami Vice style?

I hope it was insured man but really that's not the point is it!!!!!

THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT GUYS! =)

I love you all !!!

But i have good news, THE CAR HAS BEEN RECOVERED!!!!

The story,

Undercover notice the car in Carramar, cops followed, the car and the cops were just doing circles around the block they finally turned into some townhouses, jumped out and fled, cops with dogs sniff out but coudn't do much ;(

The car?

The junkies, cleaned the car inside out for me, BUT we found, syringes, stolen watchs, mobile fone accessories and just cigg packets,

While cleaning out the car, we found a note pad with rego numbers and address, so these guys WERE professionals, on the list was mostly VN commodores, a porche and ofcourse mine,

they had ripped out the last page but u can see the imprint on the next page and yes my rego and addy was there :P

I will goto cops 2morro with this pad,

Once again fellas, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT :)

all i can say is, don't let this happen to you, for the 2-3 days it was missing, i was just not myself, apart of me gave up apart of me felt as if i was gonna find the car, but burnt or stripped,

But i have got it back all in once piece and im can't be any happier

Sydney is F**Ked, if this is the price im gonna pay for driving a nice car.....well makes me think 2x, but im not gonna this get me down, im gonna keep on loving and enjoying all my rides :)

Love you guys *disclaimer* in a non homo str8 up hetro type of way *disclaimer* (blame team westside :) *

Donnie

Thanks again for all your support,

Be careful fellas, be very careful

Hip-pip Horrraaayyyyy *oink* ... :)

Great to hear Donnie ... just make sure they havn't stuck any syringes under the seats .... dirty freaking tossers.

Did you recognise any of the other numberplates on their list ? Just wondering where they would have compiled it from ...

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
