you don't find any RB25's with 2510's cause they are about the size of the stock turbo that comes with the rb25.

why would you spend so many dollars to get no power increase or maybe 10 rwkw increase?

If it is the turbo I am thinking of it wasnt very expensive at all (Second hand). So I guess he wanted it as he put more boost through it (Being steel wheel) and make 200rwkw easily rather than being on the edge of busting his stocker..I dunno, I see it pretty much as a stocker with steel wheels so it will last longer with more than 12 pound boost!

exacly what bunta said i go this cheap so thats why i brought it and all i want is about 210 rwkw i will be happy with that so i will see how i go

I know somone who has made 205rwkw on one on a r33 quite comfortably so you should get to 210 with the added bounus (Over stock)of not having to worry about your exhaust wheel falling off!

Well i think the 2510 would be better than a stock R33 turbo. I had the 2530 which by visual and measurements, it was only slightly bigger than stock, say 2/3 mm. Performance was substantially better though. Im sure running some pretty good boost, the 2510 would be better than a stocky. But you'll need a power FC , cooler and basic mods to get the best from it.

As far as oil and water lines, cost me about $100-$150 to do it. Take your turbo into hose shop and fittings and tell them what you want, study the turbo first.

Good Luck

thanks for your in put robo i have all the other mods the only thing i dont have done is the injectors so i guess i will see how i go so you just think take both turbos down to a hose shop and just get them to make up some hose like the orginal hoses to fit on the 2510?

Would it be as responsive as the stock turbo? Or more responsive?

Would it have the same top end as the stocky or less?

It went for a pretty cheap price - was considering it myself.

Wouldn't you make close to 200rwkw at 5000rpm on the stocker?

It's good if you dont have to worry about the turbine wheel going for a wander to look for the cat..

you definatly won't need injectors with that turbo, it will run out of puff up top, but will be very responsive :O

thats good to know least i aint speading more money my goal was over 200rwkw so if i make over that i will be happy with what i have spent

I don't know what you paid for it, but if i had a Gtst i'd stick a HKS 25/35 on with PFC, good tune, and make 230rwkw ish... still very responsive. but 25/35 would of been more expensive than the 25/10. Good Luck.

robo when you had the 2530 on what type of power were you making and what 1/4 mile times were you running ?

and have you fitted any of the turbos your self cause i was gonna give it ago untill someone said i will have trouble with the oil and water lines

1/4 times in my signature, [email protected] with the 2530 running around 19psi.

I fitted it all myself, its not too hard, Have you got the HKS neck off the turbo?

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
