Oil Pressure Gauge Help

Hi Guys

Justa quick one

I have got gts-t series two, car is absoulutely mint, having said that my oil pressure gauge does not move at all.When the car is off it stays half way, when the car is running it goes furhter up. I have not noticed any probs as the engine runs really smooth, good on power, boost etc. Just wondering how serious or how hard is it to have it fixed, or what has coused the gauge to trip out.

the oil pressure sender that screws into the block could have a fault in it, try pulling the wire off it and see if the gauge goes back to 0. if not the sender could have been replaced with the wrong one or the gauge is out of calibration.

Once you switch the ignition off the power is automatically cut from the sender so if it is staying half way when the keys are out then the problem is more than likely to be your guage itself. Just see if you can buy a second hand cluster from an import wrecker.
