Ok, this weekend is the 2nd Nissan cruise that's happening this year.

1st one was that much of a success they wanted to put on a 2nd one and hopefully do one, once every month or 2 months.

Someone suggested that we (skyliners) meet somewhere 30mins prior to the orginal cruise. As the majority of us are here in the Brisbane area, we will be meeting at the 2nd destination that the goldcoast people will be meeting at.

The first destination is Coomera BP.

The second destination is Springwood Macca's.

The third destination is Moorayfield BP.

From there, they'll then cruise up to bribe island.

As stated above, someone's suggested we meet 30mins prior. I reckon instead of meeting at another location before the meet at Springwood Macca's meet, that we all just meet at Springwood Macca's. That way, we are earlier then expected and we can meet one another (that being skyline owners).

Those cruising up from the GoldCoast are set to arrive at Springwood Macca's at 9:55am. I say we meet there at 9:30am. This also gives us time to get breakfast as I'm sure the majority of us will just be getting out of bed at this time of morning.

Destination: Springwood Macca's Car Park.

Meet Time: 9:30am.

Additional people arriving: Goldcoast people arriving at 9:55am.

Departure time: 10:20am

From there, we are set to countinue along the highway and onto the gateway.

Who's up for meeting at 9:30 prior to those arriving from the Goldcoast at 9:55am?

Earliest I'll be able to make it to morayfield is about 1100 unfortunatly.

But I'll be there, remember to bring a radio, be on ch16 and also I'll wait around the front and to the left, in front of the diesel bowsers until the main group arrives.

Will be there, to show you where your cars came from!

Hey Alfadog, I'll definitely come along to check out your C110. Unfortunately my R32 is out of action until a new TPS arrives from Japan, so I'll have to bring the Patrol :( . If only the R30 was registered... :D

Great cruise, bit dissapointed at lack of BBQ's and kids playground equipment, but that's councils fault.

Anyway, here's over 150 pics:

They are not all great and some are pretty crap, but I dont care.

You wont be able to remote link so if you want me to remove your plates please PM me and I'll do my best.

Sorry I had to leave early, kids were getting restless

It was just a darn pity about the weather, and the people who went out of their way to attract attention at Bribie. Got pulled over on the way home because of complaints. THANKS! Luckily, my car is all legal so they couldn't do anything to defect me  Lovely turnout of cars though. Some really nice rides.

Here are my small collection of pics, again if you want your plate blurred PM and I'll do it. Shouldn't be any problem though, none of the cars in these photos did anything illegal.

yeh i behaved most of the day

i done a little launch for the sauers at the end there.

but everyone was gone by then, there was only us 5 or so left.

but yeah when there was lots of cars parked people shouldnt have been speeding up or down or anything.

worked out pretty well, was a great day, some people chopping up and stuff on the highway got a bit dodgy! lol

didnt seem much organisation once we got there, people just thought, meh im going and loads left after 10 mins hey.

thanks for the pics loved it.

all in all a great day, daym if anyone got caught in that heavy heavy rain right at the end on the way home, farq!!!! got visibility?

mick

good cruise for the most part.. I counted 74 nissans as well .. all good quality too with plenty of variety.. massive..

wasn't too much dicking around which was good.. never going to keep people happy with so many cars. At least everybody made it to the destination and the meet stops.

rain made it interesting there and back.. with 5m visibility .. ha

    • Even welded diff, in a dead straight line is quiet. It's what's in my R33, and you only notice it is welded when attempting to turn.   This to me sounds like there is play somewhere. But I'm not sure where I'd look to be honest.   OP: are your tyres the same size left to right? Can you check what the markings on the rear left and rear right tyre are, and then how much tread is on each tyre?
    • sold listed as a Tomei LSD 1.5 Way For 1998+ Nissan Skyline ER34 25GT RB25DE w/Open R200 https://www.ebay.com/itm/174006114594?campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms=&campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=71883f2ccc571356e0a757bc7adfdde2&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms= it went in like butter all gears, alignment, back lash etc, rotation and clearances correct, and if rolling all rotates smooth and free when coasting down road , clutch in or out over 10 mph smooth... its the binding, clunking and jerking from a stop that is most concerning, also seems like its going to tear the tires off in 10 miles of normal road driving.
    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
