It looks like a plain bearing centre, which would be early VG30DET, but could be mistaken and would need a picture showing the opposite face to that in the first photo to confirm.

Edit: plain bearing turbo's were also used on HR31 Skyline's and Cefiro's, not to mention Z31 turbo, VLT, 280ZXT and other's i've probably forgotten...........

Ball-bearing turbo's have a 6mm bolt (10mm hex head) near the water fitting (ie in the same plane as the water fitting). The centre is also physically larger, but it can be hard to tell from photo's. The absence of the bolt confirms it.

If it's a BB core it will have 10mm bolt next to one of the water outlets.

Thats a RB20/VG30 comp wheel by the looks.

Most probably a RB20/VG30 with a RB25 sized comp cover. hence the 45v.

Turbine housing looks small.

But the exhaust housing looks bigger so I'd be guessing VG30.

I was told it was an RB25 turbo. and i was going by the 45V2 comp cover.

Why don't you install it and see how it goes? If you are doing all the work yourself it shouldn't cost you much to do it.

Yup, well, I bought a 'Neo' R34 turbo from a fella on these forums, it turned out it wasnt and is a S2 RB25 turbo (exactly what Ive already got). Paid $650 for the damn thing, asked for some money back, no responce.

Maybe we should name names?

Damn that is smaller than the rb20/vg30 comp wheel.

The rb20/vg30 comp wheel measures up as:

Inducer - 46mm

Exducer - 63mm
