I have an R32 GTR with PFC fitted

I have been looking at the peak hold values (as you do) - and I would like to know ...

what is the air temp reading - well reading really.

and where does it read it from (the plenum ?)

I typically see air temps in the 40s and today had a peak value of 51 - driving home from work this afternoon. (not a hot day in Brisbane today – and I was not pushing things)

Yep thats pretty normal and yes reads it from the plenum just before number 1 throttle body. Chances are if your not pushing it your not creating the airflow to cool it down and the air inside the IC plenum ect stagnates and heats. If you gave it a 2-3 long sqirts with over 4 pound of boost what happened then? You must remember that an IC is a heat transfer device so if the outside heat is greater than the inside temp then it will heat the air.

See the same on mine - generally reads around 25 degrees above the reading you get from the ambient temp sensor.

Note that after driving off boost for quite a while I gave it a good squirt (i.e. on boost for around 15 secs) & it dropped 7 degrees in that time.
