This is a weird one, and basically curious to see if im the only one going through it.

When i have my air conditioning on cold, my car makes a coughing sound when coming onto boost... It may not be it coming onto boost thats the problem, and i cant see how its related, but thats when i notice it most. Sometimes does it when just cruising along.

I know generally there is a loss of power when running the compressor etc when air con is switched on, but the car jerks somewhat and makes a quick *cough* sound (hard to tell exactly where its coming from) and then continues to drive on fine.

It doesnt do this very often, just more annoying than anything.

Car is a series 2 r33, with the usual mods, FMIC, exhaust, pod etc (not that these should matter)

Any one experience the same thing??

Thanks guys.

hi,

might be the aircond pump on its way out a bearing may be ceasing up and somehow slowing the engine... does your aircond still work??? are you sure its only when your aircond pump is running??? id take the belt off the aircond pump and spin it freely... if its crunchy it would prolly be a bearing or sumthing... if it does it on idle see if you can locate where its coming from even if you have the car idleing and rev the engine by hand

but thats me thinking out aloud could be something else

Air con works fine.... I thought bearings as well, but theres no grinding sound etc while its running. Runs quiet and smooth as.

Definately only when the air con is on...

Its like a random thing, almost like its releasing gas or air or something....weird!

I was curious to see if it happened to others...
