G'day mate,

bloody nice bit o gear, sorry to go OT but i was just wondering what type of front bar is on it. it's a little hard to make out on the picture cos the colours are so dark :) . Also out of interest, how much lower it is than stock. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words ol mate.

The front bar is factory fitted on this car.

The car is a 1998 4oth anniversary MR GTS25T. so in regards to the body kit, this car looks exactly as it did when it rolled off the factory floor.

The car has been lowered by Pedders and it is 40mm lower than standard.

Leagally speaking (but who cares about that!) the car is legal as it is, any lower and you'd be looking at a defect!

Hope i have been helpful Ol Mate. Enjoy!

I'm at work ATM, but i'll post a ripper pic of the front bar when i get home.

Later.

mate, let me just say that you own 1 of the cleanest looking 33's ive seen. ive got my 98 40th anniversary on the way from japan (its in brisbane in a day or 2)...its black, and i think black and your purple would have to be my absolute favorite colors on the 33.

i can only hope my car looks as good as yours does 1 day.

good luck with the sale!

Thanks Dezz, I really appreciate the feedback.

This car was smick when i imported it, (1st Aussie owner) and i rekon with the additions i have made it looks even better.

Wish i could keep it, i want to keep it, but it has to go!

yep. much better mate, imho the other rims ruined the overall look of the car. great choice this time round, never seen them on a 33 before, but the proof is right there, they look great

good luck with the sale again mate. hopefully i dont get a warning for talking in here, given that you requested peoples feedback :)

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
