Saw a funny vid the other day of a bloke on an orange Haybusa trying to pop a mono : he gets it up alright but when he tries to put it down; gets the death wobbles for about a second or two and drops it: He looked like such a tool! -- He was on a busy highway with other people around:

Any you guys seen ghostrider series: you can watch on line (while your working) at www.streetracersonline.com..... Some other good vids on there too!

Ive got 10 cd's from www.bikepics.com all of videos of high speed stuff, low speed stacks, etc. Top stuff. Love the one where a group of sports bikes do endos (rear wheel lifts up under hard front braking) to a standstill, and the last guy comes in way too hot and takes out all his mates in front!

But the video that gets my heart pumping is the Austalian advert for Yamaha R1 around 5 years ago, with Kevin Curtain (?) riding the red/white R1, 'where are you going today' slogan. Awesome, you may remeber it as it was played a lot during the Channel 10 car racing weekend programs.

I could go on and on, as riding motorbikes is my absolute passion & I get SO fired up over it. But havent riden for a few weeks now due to the impending birth of my 2nd kid in 2 weeks time - hate to write myself off now just when Im really needed!

well, from the date of that last post until a few weekends ago, I had TWO rides.

knee pain, and prescribed opiates, kept me off the bike and right away from riding.

bike got sold 2 weeks ago, unhappy about it but time to move on.

as a side note, had a highflowing muffler fitted and the Stagea has absolutely loved it. the highflow turbo spools up beautifully, loads of power. will have a slight touch up done to the tune to suit, when possible, and all will be sweet.

:P

Given this is not on the car yet I won't be making it. :(

Chances are it will be on the car but chances are it wont be tuned.

Madaz, is yours still making the same power as last? It won't on Grahams dyno. Mainlines tend to read quite conservative.

She's only a .82; xr6t dump flange so easy enough to get a hold of.

The turbine wheel outlet is 3" and ~2" wastegate.

I've attached a pic of dangerman4's dump when he made his up.

Can't wait to get the sucker on.. Been a long time coming. I expect it to be all in by ~3000rpm and with 20odd psi up around 300rwkw. :(

I sourced all black silicon (2.5" joiners, 4" joiner, 4" to 3" reducer & 2.5" to 2" 90degree reducer) for $100 delivered from the US. Bargain.

Apparently 2wd vs 4wd makes no difference to power output. Dirtgarage did a few back to backs some time ago.

rbman has had his tuned at shauns and then had it on the dyno at grahams for a power run. It made 10rwkw less from memory. Different dyno. Mainline vs dd dyno.

:D

I was so so close to simply throwing a slide highflow on and pushing 250rwkw comfortably for half the price this has cost me.

I think my problem was I drove my mates 270rwkw rb30det quite a bit and it began to feel like it needed more power. :)

Which scared me so I lashed out and bought this sucker that should push up around 270-280rwkw easily and with a bit of leaning on it should crack 300rwkw. Will be plenty for the light rwd r32.

factory glass along back side and slightly to rear, might one day do a light front tint

UV Cut glass, it's seraphic glass and the "tint" as you say is mixed in with the molten glass

rear window has a factory uv coating

    • Driveline vibration is resolved. I ended up loosening all my engine mount and trans mount bolts, giving it a good shake then retightening everything and it's gone... Let's just say I was surprised that fixed it.  I've been happily driving it around again but unfortunately put zero time into my direct port/constant pressure WMI setup. I'm on vacation next week, so I'll try and finalize it then.  On a different note, I spent all week fuel/ignition mapping 2x 216L V16 engines. Turbo's were burning glycol and we swapped them out for larger units. We also had planned emissions testing on site, so I figured I'd be there the same week to use their instrumentation and massage any emissions issues out if needed. This was a first for me. Fuel management is similar in certain ways to automotive (i.e air density as load variable) but very different in others. It's all PLC based and AFR's are controlled by air and not fuel. They use a control valve between the turbo and air manifold to control pressure which in turn controls AFR's. Due to this, target AFR tables supplied by the OEM are in pressures and not mass which really through me off. They use air pressure vs fuel pressure tables. I also relied on an O2 concentration sensor the emissions team had in the exhaust. Ignition timing was also all over the place and we were losing a fair bit of power. They're now happily sitting at 16-40BTDC depending on load. We were making about 1600kw at 900rpm at 90% load. Engines were running a lot smoother as well.
    • heh, aint no R32 ever meeting modern targa cage rules unless the driver is veeeery short OP, good luck with the sale, since its already in the land of freedom I'm sure you will find a good buyer.
    • meh, it was a good video, clear about the issue and how he dealt with it. A bit heavy on the RTV and very brave to put an RB in anything without rebuilding it first, but otherwise I thought it was good Dose, I'm not sure that having the pickup forward is a big issue; yes of course the oil could shift under brakes but the sump should never be empty enough for that to be a problem (unless you also have a higher volume oil pump, and that oil can't return from the head to the sump quickly enough)
    • I can donate $100 to your upgrade fund. So long as you can donate the IC7 my way....
    • I'd love a Haltech ECU, and Haltech 10 dash. Was having a chat with Rob and Andy @ Haltech when Rob put one in his MR2. First one I'm kind of interested in too, as you can dim it RIGHT down. Andy was saying bright dashes is one of his peeves too!
