Oil Filter Removal

Hay all

I just got my first skyline and i am doing an oil change

i have drained the oil but the oil filter is tight as. any special way to get it ofF?

Get one of those non slip rag things to help your grandma open cookie jars...Failing that tap a screwdriver throught the cover of the oi filter and use that to lever it - Do this woward the end of the filter (i.e. furthest part of filter from engine..)

assuming its an rb25det oil filter removal is very easy. you should invest in an oil filter claw (the prong weird lookin thing) and a 19mm spanner to go on the end of it. Just tighten and turn.. these will get just about any filter off .. dont bother trying to get it off from underneath either.. it wont happen
