Z32 Afm

Recommended Posts

does anyone know the exact reason for ppl to switch over to Z32 afm?

I searched the forum before...found out that they are of the same diameter...and possibly giving different voltage...

the larger afm 90mm dia is from infinity Q45

so why do more ppl choose to upgrade more to Z32 afm in comparison to the infinity afm?

are there any aftermarket afm available? has anyone changed into Z32 or infinity afm in their r34? I know it can be done in r32 and 33s..but haven't actually heard for r34..

thanks

Its all covered, maybe search a tad harder

Im only going to be brief

Z32/Q45 is used when you max out the stock one, how much air it reads.

Bigger AFM's (Z32/Q45) have a different resolution, giving ability to "see" more air.

Z32 is cheap, $450 delivered. Q45 maybe a bit more

Personally i feel dia of an AFM means squat. Its before the air is compressed, i cant see it as a restirction.

You need Aftermarket Management, PFC etc to use a bigger AFM. Will not work with a stock ECU. Plenty of R34's running around.

There are nismo AFM's also. Basically Z32 in stock size (GTR) so it bolts to stock piping but works as a Z32

cheers

Its a dyno figure, and all those parts (engine) add to more than 8k.

Make it do that day in day out for a few months. Then you'll know that its expensive as you'll have the motor out for rebuild.

Put it this way, settle for 350rwhp and it's achievable well under 8k
