Hey Guys

I'm looking for some ppl to help out on sunday at oran park, its in aid of an event to help out kids :(

Its being held at oran park North circuit. You have to have a CAMS L2S (level 2 speed) license, and a roadworthy car.

We require sensible ppl, preferably who've had track experience before as you'll have children/kids in the car and there is a speed limit. I'll have a radar on the day and if you set a wheel in the dirt the clerk of course will be speaking to ppl.

Here are some details taken from my club web page below

I also need ppl to help official on the day as flag marshalls, or pit/non competition marshalls on the day. this is no less important then driving (gives you a different perspective of racing  ). no experience needed guys, its dead simple

You can Contact either myself or Brenton on the following #'s if you need more info

cheers

It is being held at Oran Park on the last Sunday before Christmas, the 18th of December. As this is the 10th Anniversary of Kids Race Day, we are working to make sure that this one is special, and we would like your help.

We recognise that for some people this can be a hectic time of the year and some people are just a bit burnt out with motor sport, however it is also the best time of the year to give some nourishment to your soul, while providing enjoyment to some kids who are for one reason or another, finding life just a little on the tough side now.

In previous years, we have ended up with so many cars that it made organisation on the day extremely difficult. For example, last year we had 73 entries (forms filled in), yet over 220 cars turned up to participate. This year we are trying something a little different. We have broken the track in two and will be running Supersprint and Exotic cars on the North Circuit, with race car/driver combination operating on the South Circuit.

If you are able to be of assistance as an official / marshal, please drop me a line as we really need people like you who have circuit experience to help with a variety of different tasks.

For those who hold a L2S or higher CAMS license and would like to participate as a Driver on the North Circuit, the relevant paper work is attached. While drivers with a PC or higher level CAMS license driving a log booked vehicle can help on the North Circuit, they are also able to participate on the South Circuit. If you fit into this category and would prefer to assist on the South Circuit, drop me a line and I will forward you the relevant paperwork.

For those whose company would like to assist with a financial contribution, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

On behalf of my assistant club president

Hi Guys and Gals,

I have just got home and I am beat, as I am sure that you are too.

I had to drop in a short note to thank those of you who came out to Oran Park

today as drivers and officials.

While this may come as a bit of a surprise, there were over 250 kids today who

you were instrumental in helping smile for just a moment. Unfortunately some of

them may not be able to return next year, although I know you will join me in

hoping that they do.

To our drivers, what can I say; all of you were simply unbelievable. Not one

puff of dust yet thrills a plenty. The kids had an absolute blast and while I

know that you did not get to see their faces as they hopped out of your car with

their helmet on, their faces were still beaming once the helmet was removed.

I would like to offer a special thanks to the guys from the NSCC Officiating

Team who helped me run the North Circuit. The way you guys pull together as a

team during our events and work the track management at events like these, is

simply outstanding. I can't find the right superlatives to describe what a

stellar job you all did in every area. Under your care and supervision, the

entire day ran like a finely tuned SR20DET on full-boost and as usual, it didn't

miss a beat. Thanks guys.

To the wife's, girlfriends, and sisters who helped with the kids, you were

terrific and we couldn't have run the day without you. The special care and

friendly nature that you showed to the children was just the right magic touch.

A huge, and sincere thank-you for just being, well.simply wonderful.

To the kids; On behalf of everyone involved with the Oran Park North Circuit and

Kids Race Day, we hope you had as much fun as we did and we would like to thank

you for allowing us to share a special moment with you. We hope that you have a

safe and happy Christmas and we look forward to seeing all of you again in 2006.

Take Care and thanks again to everyone involved.

Sincerely, Brenton

Clerk of Course - Oran Park North
