My line got backed into on the drivers front side. :D

Lady hit my car on the drivers front 1/4, scraped the door, and did some damage to the side bar too...

I need a crash repairer in the north eastern suburbs to get to do my car (i get choice of repairer), as it has to be local.

Anyone recommend a place that will do top line work? Its insurance job, so i aint paying for it.

Id also like to see how much to respray the car maybe (as it needs it). Any ideas how much to get the extra done?

For a top job, see Des Higgins at Parafield. (Probably the best in SA)

If you want the whole car resprayed at the same time (and you have to pay for it) it would cost a fortune with Des, but if the insurance company will pay I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Yep, Des won't respray your car unless you're prepared to do the whole lot, bare metal. TOP class work, but may not be North Eastern enough.

I had some work done at Golden Grove Crash on Golden Grove Road a few years ago that I was happy with. Matched metallic paint very well. Was only one panel though.

Thanks guys. I have heard of Des before, and parafield is pretty close so i'll give him a call.

Id like the whole car done. Its hard to colour match the other panels when the rest of the car is faded :D Damn previous owners backyard job.

Wonder if i can get em to put on some gtr front 1/4 panels :(...

I might ring the insurer and see if i can take it anywhere in Adelaide if i cant find somewhere close thats good.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
