ah right right, do gtr injectors fit in the std rb25 fuel setup and would i need an ecu if i upgrade them? i know that with the rb30's its u haveto change the ecu if u have the injectors. But im not too sure on the rb25 ecu.

According to HPI stock r33 injectors are only 370cc/min and as such run out of flow at around 200rwkw.

really???

i have about 200rwkw with standard injectors and the are nowhere near their max duty cycle...

i think they are only at around 70%...i thought 250rwkw was achievable with standard injectors??

also dont believe everything you read in magazines, rather talk to people with experience...

aren't SR20 injectors side feed as well?

Yes, SR20 injectors are also side feed. You will need to buy larger Sard/Nismo/Bosch/Denso injectors if you want an upgrade as there is really no standard injectors that are an easy side feed upgrade.

I thought I read S15 injectors (side-feed) were a straight fit on R33 GTST? They aren't 550cc but they are higher than r33 std 370cc, maybe 470?

Also GTI-R SR20 injectors are top-feed and some side-feed SR20 injectors are only 370cc so same as R33, so if you go sr20 make sure you get the right ones.

Well how much power are you chasing?

If Jetdat is right then you can get 250rwkw with std injectors.

The most i can get in standard from, standard being ecu, bottem end, cams. Maybe around 200 - 250 rwkw. Ultimately in the long run around 300 350 rwkw using a 35/40 and maybe rb30 bottem end rebuilt with steel rods and forged pistons and a good set of cams.

    • 75% complete. Will now need to get a new axle with 5x114.3 hubs and then figure out how to customize some mudguards for it once the wheels are on.
    • Trailer prep is underway... Lined up the wheel to get a rough indication of how it would sit Then removed all the bits (as far as possible) and gave the frame a light sand and quick lick of paint   Then added some carpet
    • okay, so I figured this out, removed needles and reinstalled after swapping the gauge face on my triple gauge for my ER34, all work and look good. I tried to do the same for the main cluster, but the main cluster gauge faces are dished, the replacement gauge face are flat, so due to the dish in the org face ,mounting backing plate (clear) and depth of the needle, the flat gauge face will not work. I notice that R34 gtr gauges are flat, appears to be different clear backing plate that aren't dished. are these available, or what have others done to install flat gauge faces?
    • Cheers mate. Seems some people get lucky others don't. It looks like the motor was detonating (to be expected if it was overboosting I suppose) as the pistons had a lot of detonation damage, and the bearings were stuffed. The bores were very scoured too, not sure if that's from the pistons or bits of ceramic turbo. By the by now. Have been trying to avoid the rabbit hole too much on the rebuild, and there's been a few hurdles along the way, but with any luck I'll have the car back soon™. Might even pop up a thread then.
    • Thanks, these seem to lay it out a bit differently. I will get back to you guys after i do some tests and more digging.
