  1. So, After being f**ked over by multiple sellers as I was going to give a deposit (including one from this forum) I currently have $25,000 to spend on an R32 GTR. So anyone interested in selling, Please send me a message or comment on this. Alternatively if someone has some Japanese contacts or knows of agencies. Let me know. Ideally would be looking for Gunmetal grey, driveline must be healthy.

  7. Hi All, Asking for an expression of interest in some parts I've got on my car. Located in Melbourne's northern Suburbs Unfortunately due to a somewhat recent fatality involving a car, my family has put alot of pressure for me to sell my track car. which was only recently finished and has only seen one track day. Essentially my parents are evicting the car from the garage or evicting me from the house... Not too keen on parting it out, but sadly getting alot of pressure. Everything on the car can be stripped and sold. Not really sure on the prices on most of these parts but just trying to recoupe some of my money spent... R33 GTST Turbo Brakes and rotors. $500 Manual LSD diff (Has been welded) $200 RB30/25DET Engine Conversion ($4000) Stock Rebuilt RB30 Bottom End, Head has been fully checked and freshened up before being put on the RB30 Bottom end. (cam balancing, x rayed, valve springs tested, valve seats reground, new seals, hot bathed, decked, new oil lines, minor porting) Comes with HKS FCon V ECU HyperGear GT30 Turbo ($900) no shaft play, nearly new.. RB25DET Gearbox + 6 Puck Ceramic Cushion Button Clutch ($1900) FMIC + Piping to suite rb25 stock plenum ($400) Few bent fins from road travel. 3" Turbo Back exhaust with zero cell Catalytic converter... ($600) Hydro handbrake ($50) Everything on the car is up for grabs. Would also consider cash offers for the full R33 GTST RB25/30DET. So please inbox or text. No interior is in the car!   8. The reason for the "Keep the golf" being a bad move, I'm getting Financial pressure plus peer and family pressure to get rid of it. However as others have said, I'm not keen on an In between car. As for "Spoilt brats". My golf is a MY01 gti which i've paid for by myself, had to get a loan at the start of my p's. Worked and earned that money to pay for it legit. Its not like its a 25k mummy and daddy present... I get masses of shit from the JDM community for driving said golf despite what its got... in the last 3 months i've spent nearly $5k just on repercussions of the diff and gearbox breaking... Thats 5k which was sitting in my "upgrade car fund" As for this, This is what i will probably do, As I work in logistics i'm starting to get familiar with Automotive Import (I don't do it yet, I just have frequent contact with the people that do) So I'll probably just import the car myself or through my company for a cheaper rate . But i can see where the others have concerns about someone who hasn't had access to high powered cars for a few years then jumping into something that has 300-400 awkw. I mean my golf is currently sitting on around 160-170 FWKW, which If i swapped into an tuned AWD with rear wheel bias I can see the room for error.... As for the modifications... I'd like to do alot of the work myself, However its a steep learning curb as I've only really dealt with smaller engines and in no way full done scale modifications.. so i guess i'll have to see what extent i'm willing to modify it myself...

Thanks for your input mate, I'm glad to see there is someone else here that isn't just looking down at a newbie. -_- Now i wouldn't say i'm being unreasonable here I'm after educated opinions not people telling me i should be in the 5th grade. I'm now probably leaning more to the waiting option after hearing what a few of the people taking this serisously have had to say. also dropping an N/a into a GTR will do my head in just in the whole idea of degrading it.... I'm thinking instead i'll arrange the shipping 4-5 months before opens that way i'll get it about 4-6 weeks before my opens. That will give time for these safety mods to be done before i get onto the road with it... but i'll have to keep the golf until opens.
  10. Firstly, I know I can't drive the car, As i said. Option A isn't really an option. (If you didn't detect the subtle sarcasm) I'm currently looking for ways to reduce power to keep other aspects of the car whilst on my probation. The Attessa system being the major factor as to why I like the GTRS. Otherwise I take it on track with the RB26dett where condition are kept monitored and risks are minimised. However on the topic of hitting and killing someone. You can kill someone in an excel just as much as you can in a skyline.Every single car on the road with enough speed will become a 1ton+ missle. In which you will be charged for manslaughter anyway. So i don't overly accept that point. That being said, I'm not in the business of killing people and would like to do things as legitimately and safely as possible

  12. Yeah, I know its nerve racking driving a ban car. However i know a guy that drove a bright yellow Evo 8 for nearly a year on his p's. Didn't get done until the day before his birthday... The general consensus is I guess be patient, do the right thing and wait until my full license. *Sigh* Guess its either that or have a track only car until full license...
  13. Manual, Diff went through the gearbox before Christmas and isn't covered by warranty. Basically VW used rivets in they're diffs in that Gen and when the rivet comes undone the spider gear expands and sends chunks at high speed through gearbox. I woulda been doing 1800 rpm when it happened -_-
