Hey nice evo. I know it's been covered before but what are key differences stock vs stock. Which is faster? What has more mid range power ? What's fuel consumption like? I hear that evos are a little bit more expensive to sservice and mod. Is this true. Do you miss the smoothness of the straight 6 power delivery or do you like the angry Explosive nature of the evo? Are my questions accurate or am I largely mislead ??

Hey mate I also had the yellowing effect on my headlights. I simply wet sanded my headlights lightly with rough sandpaper and progressed with the finest (used 5 different grades). I can't remember what type I used but between each sanding I attached a buffing element to an orbital sander and used some cutting compound. The headlights look brand new. You can buy kits which are good. I did not use the uv spray to finish them off. Mainly because my vehicle is garaged. But it will yellow again down the track. If you do use the spray use an even coat and spray from a distance. You will get slight haze but can polish that out. I have pics on my project thread I think.

I just wanted to mention a side note that occurred while I was installing the intercooler. The kit was not designed with a nipple for a hose on the pipe going into the I.p. So I bought a threading kit and threaded a brass nozzle onto it. I bought the nozzle from autobarn. It looks like this Some people say it's a power steering sensor something. I'm not too sure what it's for.

Thanks mate I appreciate that. I've watched your build closely as well as some others like hanaldo, fatz etc and found it very helpful. I'll look into that thread

I've just gotten my drainage sill things painted under the hood and in the boot. You can tell in my previous pod box image that the sills were faded and slightly rusting. . Same story in the boot. I've got a nice clip on rear camera kit from carbon car systems. It's a factory looking fit. I also hardwired a dash cam and hid the wires. This is a pic of my universal washer bottle and pump fitment. I got it in the factory position. Yeah!! Repainted the rozzas a grey carbon with gold flecks And some door protectors. I know it's granny spec but it protects my doors lol There was a cleaner factory option in s2 33s which icouldnt find for a 34

Yeap. I'm just looking at coilpacks, fuel pump and maybe a short shift kit too. Just reading on the forums at the moment for some more information and recommendations.

I do like preformance mods but I also like driviability. I'm looking at nistune, hi flowed injectors, hi flowed turbo. A gear knob ha!

First I went and bought some supplies : The rb26 bov has a larger pipe so instead of using an adapter I used the original factory pipe inside the new radiator pipe as a collar. I sealed the space between them with gasket sealer. I was originally going to use a rubber gasket glue to attach the rb26 bov. It appears that the gasket from factory is a much better option if it is in good condition. There was a bit of dirt And grime on it so I sanded it lightly before: After: Here is a comparison. Left is the neo and right is the gtr Before: After: I also replaced the heat shielding stuff. And after all this I still get the fart noise. Lol oh well

Just got my hands on this for next to nothing. Just trying to figure out the best way to get it on and prevent that farting noise people complain about off boost

I also decided to remove my old clutch and get a new custom exedy single plate organic clutch kit from western clutches: old: new: It was a bit heavy for the first 700km but now is quite nice. Got some new gauges. Not sure if too ricey?

I ended up buying 19" starcorps for some fat fitment. They started off being like this: To this: On the car they looked like this: But i was never really happy with them. It was way too bumpy and the wheels felt heavy. I ended up going back to my trusty rozzas

Now in order to prepare my car for better flow I was on the hunt for a decent exhaust system. I ended up with a nismo turbo back exhaust (including genuine nismo hi flow cat) that i got for a bargain!!! Such a sweet note on the car when you open it up and none of that annoying drone. And it looks kind of stockish.. not really. And to further improve my flow I purchased and installed a black series kkr intercooler from otomoto. Does not have the same flow as say a blitz or a hpi but i am quite impressed for $400 brand new with piping. And it didnt require much cutting at all Finished product: Also changed the parkers to smd leds:

Everything was looking great at this point. Here is my engine bay: I got all the fluids (clutch, diff, oil, coolant etc) all drained and replaced. I soon realised that i needed to get my brakes done. So i went from this: To this: And i always wanted a bit of woosh so i ordered this from nengun: and just to keep it somewhat legalish i got this from hi octane motorsport:

Gday Fellas, Im relatively new to the forums. I have always been a lurker. Sitting in the shadows watching other people build things and then hopefully implementing them on my own car. It all started in early 2012 where i finally decided to bite the bullet and visit Mastercars Blacktown to purchase my very own r34 gtt. I fell in love with the red r34 they had sitting there for the last month and I knew i had to have it. After a little bit of haggling here and there I ended up buying this: It was a clean example with a factory sunroof. The only aftermarket parts were: 18" rozza wheels blitz turbo timer hks hiper max d coilovers Im not really looking to build a track car. Just something clean and streetable that packs a punch. let the modding begin
