  1. Hi guys I will be fitting an HTA3076 to my R34 (already bought the turbo based on previous advice on here). Basically I have the following current set up R34 RB25 neo stock internals garrett GT3076r .63 housing tuneagent cheap manifold external gate 1000cc id injectors tomei type b 260 cams big fuel pump, surge tank, exhaust, front mount etc power fc running caltex e flex all the time making 320 rwkw. The car currently runs 22 psi but drops down to 16 psi at the top end. Dyno sheet attached. To give some background, I asked a few questions in this thread: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/426059-forced-performance-hta-turbos/page-15 The car was dropping down to 16 psi and even with the .63 housing was laggier than other people running a larger rear housing, but I decided to leave the car as it was until now. The turbo now appears to have shit itself so I am now replacing it. I thought hard about whether I should just put the HTA on the manifold I have now but given the boost control issue and the lag I think I would be better off changing the manifold, gate, turbo, housing and putting on a quality setup. The question is what rear housing to go. I see a lot of talk of twin scroll for GT35 size turbos but not so much for for this HTA3076. What do people think of the following: http://gcg.com.au/turbo-parts/turbine-housings/garrett-gt30r-series-1/turbine-housing-gt30r-t3-split-pulse-detail http://gcg.com.au/turbo-parts/turbine-housings/garrett-gt30r-series-1/turbine-housing-gt30r-v-band-in-out-split-pulse-detail Obviously if I went the divided housing I would get a proper manifold with either single or twin gates made up to suit. Looking to run 22-24 psi (stock internals). Unsure exactly what springs to order here. Around the desired PSI I want to run? I was curious as to what size housing would be best and emailed GCG and they said: In a similar ratio single entry vs dual entry comparison, power levels will be almost identical, however spool rates can be improved u to 800rpm depending on the application. If a proper manifold is made to suit split pulse, the advantages are very noticeable. Our most common 2.5L size would be either 0.82a/r or 0.83a/r. We haven’t used that many 1.01a/r split pulse turbos in this application, so we don’t really have any numbers between 0.82 S/E vs 1.01 D/E. Either way, anything in the 0.8** range is ideal for this engine. Basically I am leaning towards going for the .83 twin scroll housing based on GCG's reply above, stating that power levels will be almost identical but will spool quicker. I drive the car on the street and would like less lag than what I have now. If I can also get more top end that is a bonus but I would really like to get some quick spool happening. However I have read other people say that when you go twin scroll you go up a housing size as they restrict the top end. So I just thought I would post this up as I know there are some very knowledgeable people on these boards. What are peoples thoughts on these rear housings? Thanks
  2. Thanks for your response GTS boy. I tried both of the ones you listed and neither of them seem to have it. Any other suggestions?
  3. Just a quick question. I dropped my 1999 R34 GTT Rb25 Neo in to a workshop to get a gearbox rebuild and they are telling me that this R34 comes with a 3 piece synchro for first gear which they cannot source. The workshop is suggesting just putting the gearbox back in without a new first gear synchro but I am reluctant to do this as it is expensive and I want it done right. So the question is where can I get a 3 piece first gear synchro to suit an RB25 Neo gearbox? Surely someone must know where to get these or has rebuilt an RB25 Neo gearbox before? Thanks
  4. Was thinking about keeping them but at this stage they are still available.
  5. Just a quick question for those in the know. Would there by any detriment to the performance of these turbos (specifically HTA 3076) if you ran a different rear housing such as a Kinugawa? The Tial rear housings are about $600. Is there a difference in performance between these and the cheaper alternatives? What are the differences?
  6. Yea these are the ones that I already have. I am wondering if you have the higher CC EV14s or are these the largest you have of these type of injector? What are the larger options for R34 GTT?
  7. So these 1000cc EV14s are different from the other larger size injectors you offer? How large do the bosch EV14s go?
  8. R34 GTT RB25 NEO performance parts with under 1000klms on them 6Boost high mount exhaust manifold $900 Plazmaman forward facing plenum and plazmaman throttle body $1100 PM if interested.
  9. I am looking for a tyre that is good value for money and offers the best performance for the $$$ to have a go at a few track days. The car it an R34 GTT. 320RWKW. coilovers, 350mm brakes etc. I would be putting the tyres on a seperate set of rims to be put on to drive to the track, on the track and back home. Would be from Canberra to wakefield which is roughly 100km each way. I have a separate set of rims and tyres for daily driving. Rims are: Desmond Regamaster 17x9 + 38 17x8 +35 I was thinking of getting Nitto NT01 255 40 17 225 45 17 Should be able to get a full set of tyres for around $900. What do people think? Are there any better value options out there?
  10. I daily drive an NPC carbotic. I like it but I don't know if I would go as far as to say it has the stock pedal feel
  11. I was going to give one of these a go but when i searched for speedtek the bad traders list came up http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/65046-known-bad-traders-read-before-you-buy-or-sell/?hl=%2Bspeedtek#entry1217252 This appears to be Alex Kantarovski who ripped a whole bunch of people off a few years ago. Probably not to be trusted. Even if the products were good I would not want to support someone like that anyway.
  12. No need for tape measure offsets, the actual exact sizes are imprinted on the back of the rims and are 17 * 8 +35 17* 9 +38 So I got the rears exactly with my tape measure but was a little bit off on the fronts.
  13. rough tape measure offsets 17 * 8 +30 17* 9 +38 front tyres are 225 yokahamas with some tread rears are rubbish $1400 ono - pm if interested
  14. Price drop and additional picture taken today added to show condition. Will take $1350 from a Canberra buyer. PM me if interested.
  15. I would think the car would run a mid to high 12. This estimate would be based on the assumption that the car is running standard street tyres and relatively hard suspension with a decent driver.
  16. Desmond Regamasters Anyone in ACT after some nice light wheels? rough tape measure offsets 17 * 8 +30 17* 9 +38 overall good condition, couple of scratches and minor rashing as per pics. front tyres are 225 yokahamas with some tread rears are unroadworthy Looking for $1800 Located in Canberra Pm for details go here for more pics http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/449305-desmond-regamaster-17x9-and-17x8/
  17. Up for sale Desmond Regamasters These are a very light wheel rough tape measure offsets 17 * 8 +30 17* 9 +38 overall good condition, couple of scratches and minor rashing as per pics. front tyres are 225 yokahamas with some tread rears are unroadworthy Looking for $1800 Located in Canberra Pm for details
  18. plazmaman make a forward facing plenum to suit rb25 neo. However the R33 ones require some adaptation. There was a thread on here about adapting an r33 ffp to an rb25 neo as well.
  19. I hate it when people post things like this. I already have three cars with one of them being an R34 GTT on E85. I have absolutely no need/room for another one, but I feel like if I don't buy it I am missing out on a good deal. Should sell quick.
