  1. two friggin hours diverting down to freo and then back towards applecross was NOT fun. (and I left before 5pm to try and beat the rush - HA). Good thing I got TV in my car...and all those people who thought i'd never get a chance to watch it...I'll have you know I watched the entire 5pm news on 10, all of the channel 7 news at 6 and still caught a bit of neighbours...
  2. Prices sound about right. As I said, mine are 255/40/17 on 9" rims and they fit just fine. Glad to hear people agreeing with my perception of these tyres.
  3. Toyo T1-R's Dry: 8/10 Wet: 8/10 BFB: 9/10 Brilliant. I love em. Under $350 a rim at 255/40/17 which i reckon is good value so high bang for buck.
  4. Many happy returns Lauren!
  5. i also have drawn the line but i'm keeping my HKS GT2535 Good luck with sale Kym. Everyone else, you'll not regret it, this turbo hauls my whale in quite a prompt fashion. You'll love it.
  6. The ute was insane, the guy smoked it off the line and spent the rest of the time just smoking/snaking all around the track, looked to be a bit of a monster, supercharged as well! Respect to the R33 driver for coming second.
  7. My work has sent me to Melbourne. Just when I had the car all running nicely now too. Next year Paul! Oh well, if they're going to send me, I spose I better go to the Anzac Day footy match while i'm here.... Good luck to all!!
  8. if you head down marmion road towards fremantle from garden city, turn right onto Norma road and they are literally 5m up the road on the left hand side, next shop past the mower/garden store on the corner.
  9. If that is the case, then i'll certainly be one happy camper! Cheers all for the replies!
  10. Yeah, i've skydived before, just did the tandem and it was a rush. I definitely want to be going back to do the accelerated free fall. Highly recommend it
  11. Hi Rob Welcome I'm just near Garden City too Cya around :burnout: Dave
  12. I've never used an aftermarket BOV but I personally like the stock plumbed BOV when using a pod, FMIC and lotsa boost! Also ensures you pass inspections by the fuzz no worries. Trust me, people hear my BOV and know i'm coming when it's cranked up
  13. Hi all, I recently purchased some Toyo T1-R's (255/40/17's) for my R33 and far be this from an in depth, review cause i'm really no expert, but these things grip like all buggery in the dry. We've not had any rain yet so i can't comment on their wet weather abilities but they certainly have shone through in terms of dry weather punishment like nothing i've driven on before. Wish I'd replaced my Kuhmo 712's with them a long time ago. Not bad value either (considering they are top of the Toyo line as far as performance tyres) with mine costing around the $340 per tyre mark. If you're after a king performance tyre in the dry, for "reasonable" dollars then these gets my thumbs up I'll update this thread with wet weather performance after we get some decent rains. Cheers!
  14. I was wondering how you got on. Nice result Reading back, i got 210.2, funny how i'm eclipsing that by a good 100rwhp now
  15. as long as you drop 10 years off your age jase, then it's okay with me
  16. ok fellas, buy him out you think i get rich from writing cheques? hahahaha
  17. don't worry, we'll dodgy it up and say i gifted it to ya.
  18. leave the mesh raw and repaint your car instead!
  19. But it was such a good photo Joe, everyone should enjoy it, shame not to show the noobs what the old days used to be like.
  20. kym, I know of one, exactly what you're after, if you give me your car keys, i'll sell it to you (or should that be back to you) cheap.
  21. I currently have Kumho Ecsta 712's on my car and there is NO WAY i'm ever having them again. For the money, it's a decent enuf tyre but it's a poor man's performance tyre. Why compromise after spending so much money in other areas of your car? For me, my power severely outweighed the 712's grip so i've stepped up to see what the toyo can do.
  22. Digging up a bit of an old thread but i've decided on going with the Toyo's. Seem to be the best mix of good reputation from other users and price. The price difference between TPG's and the new T1-R's was negligible so i'm going for the T1-Rs in 255/40/17's for $340 each from Booragoon Tyre Service in Myaree. When I go down there to get them fitted, i'll try and sound him out if he's interested at all in becoming a club sponsor for all the SAUWA members. He's only a small outfit but it would benefit him no end, particularly given the number of you out there using Toyo's. Await a full review of the tyres once fitted
