if youre worried about the driveability, then you may opt for a 9 puck clutch which would be slightly easier to engage
itll only take you a week to get used to the 6 'pucker' anyway
tips on keeping it looking good?...buy some good polish like meguirs paint cleaner, meguirs wet look deep crystal polymer sealant polish and a micro fibre polishing mit
wash the car then chamois dry.
polish the whole car with paint cleaner then,
polish the car again with the 'wet look' polish
the bitch will sparkle!!
i was there this weekend and saw a silver 33 with blue graphics...that wasnt you was it?
we went to a couple of brewerys along the highways, you can drive to cape naturaliste, yallingup beach, margaret river, busselton...theyre all close enough.
i think there was a thread on this a little while back with 'auto wholesalers' in the title in the WA section somewhere
might help you a bit....are you referring to the NUR badged GTR?
either youve got a minispool or an lsd. theyre different types of differentials. you cant have both because it would be similar to having two gearboxes in your car (say, an auto and manual)
do it yourself
theres a tutorial in the FAQ section on how to remove your plugs
once theyre out, grab a feeler gauge and the plugs only require a little force to decrease their gap to the set level on the feeler guage
then pop them back in
easy as!
Just saw a white series 2 '33 and a 70's GT falcon (might have been a replica) sitting in the middle of west coast hwy south bound and scarb bch road this arvo after having a little bingle.
does anyone know the story there? both had front end damage and the GT had spun around and was perpendicular to the skyline. perhaps changing lanes at the same time?
just wondering if the owner is on here and is ok? saw quite a few people crowded around the footpath and ambo, also a few cops...nice looking 33 too.
anyone else see it? hopefully not a write-off
sounds like overfuelling with a non-recirculating aftermarket BOV
or a common problem with the older VL's of the Crank Angle Sensor cutting out or even its connections losing contact after all these years. check all connections of the ignition system
dunno if thats a problem with the skylines as they use a different setup and are newer but its worth a shot
sounds like youve got a boost leak somewhere in the intercooler piping so that it only opens when the boost pressure is strong enough to force an opening.
check the silicon/rubber connectors as well as all your piping.
may be a split/ loose connection
