Have you pushed a VE hard? They are pretty planted on the road for a big car.

Id go a AU Wagon on gas, its cheap & ugly sure, but will do the job without fuss. Wagon will have plenty of room to chuck stuff in & has the extra row of seats a ute wont have.

After 13 years of turbo cars i'm loving my lazy 6.0 litre V8. Doesnt go as hard as my old GTR or EVO but has miles of room , has a huge boot, is quiet inside & sounds awesome at WOT. Trip to Echuca at the start of Feb returned 9.2 L per 100 ks, did just over 1100ks round trip, 30 + degrees air cond on the whole way so I was pretty happy with that. I dont have room in my life for 2 performance cars right now, so the SS fills the bill nicely as the perfect all rounder. At 44k with 3 yr warranty its Great value.

Jacks GTR or RPMZ's 33 are the best looking I've seen. In fact, driving (the other) Jacks GTR has inspired me to build another one...... Yes, yes I know I shoulda kept my old one!!!!!

Hey Paul, I'm wondering why would you need to? The stock airbox works very well!

Mine was $681.82 according to my Invoice. Plus about $250 for a slight touch up of the tune about 3 months later.

Airbox with panel filter for a start. Echo the above statements, 12pound spring will do the trick.

Whole reason ive gone Aussie for my recent cars is there is nothing I really like coming out of Japan! Cant say im sold on the new Wrx, new Evo is nice enough but i want a proper manual 'box that isnt 5 speed & is more than i wanna spend, 350Z is a bit bland & only 2 doors, MPS isnt me... the list goes on. Golf GTI was the only other thing I really considered. PS Snowy, I remember sitting in the "new" Nissan GTR at Garry Rogers Nissan in 1991! I must be old!

Im not over Japanese cars, but I am on a "break" from them, after nothing but turbo cars for the past 13 years its kinda nice to be driving a N/A v8 for a change. My Xr6t changed my mind on the whole japcar scene, I really dont go 'driving' much at all these days, most of what i seem to do is boring stuff to & from work etc.... Must be getting old!

Big stroker, wild cam & heads. Still N/A, but i'm not totally sure of power. A lot methinks, it sounds mental. Its supposed to go TT this year according to a bloke I know who's mates with the owner.

Cheers for all the good natured ribbing! Yes yes... its Commodore its a V8 etc..... but its a pretty nice bit of kit. I struggled to find anything else BRAND NEW under 50k that was as good. The R8 is awesome but well out of my price range..... I need to budget for a new fun car too! Im planning a Street Tuna 12sec package for it, a nice set of Tein Coilovers & tint. Thats it. It is a Daily after all. Khoa, yep mate 6 speed manual. Ash, this is the XR6T's replacement. Skidz NYE! The Evo's replacement is on the "to do" list for 2008..... most likely a Series 3 33GTR, if I can find a stock as a rock one. In Sonic Silver. I'll snap better pix tomorrow, its raining here & I have to go out in it for dinner! Boo!

Got a call from my local Holden Dealer today, my new SS came off a carrier this morning! Wasnt expecting it to arrive until well into January so its a early xmas prezzie! Pick it up 5.30 tonight. Will make a nice tow car!

Theres this great little open carpark near my place that i use.... Also like this spot, not as good but still ok.... I really need a decent camera though!
