It appears if there has bene quite a discusion already. It's a shame ACT is so small, but it's also got it's advantages. Rob did great with the Easter Cruise and yeah, having more of them couldn't hurt anything but the fuel bill. I guess as new blood (Me ) comes along and where SAU, Skylines, Cruises, meet ups is new to me, I can only ask the questions as to "why" we don't do this more often. I think the ACT peeps are a great bunch and really helpful when it comes to skylines and at every meet up I learn a ton more than I did before I left for the event.

I was talking to Rob a few months ago and asked him about SAU Membership and he was telling me that we're attached to the NSW Membership scheme. I was wondering as to why ACT does not have their own membership / club members? My only real two conclusions were that NSW provides some discounts (for being SAU NSW Member) and the administration side of it would be tiring for the directed few who took it up. I'm sure this has been discussed before but could not find out any information or threads about it. I requested for membership but have not been given a response so whilst I wait, I was thinking why we don't have our own club. ACT have at least 20-30 cars on Friday night meets (Summer) and even when it's starting to get a bit cold we have an attendance. I guess the Pros and Cons of this SAU-ACT club would provide local discounts and a sense of belonging to a group; so to speak. Also, a unique ACT SAU logo design (I have read that other states have their own unique club SAU logo) to which we can use at events or even meet ups / photos. And for cons would be the administration side of it. Thoughts

Who do I speak to in regards to membership for SAU? My understanding from what I've been told is that ACT uses the NSW Membership board?

If it was a Federal cop, they can book you in any state and issue you with any infrengment. I have NSW everything (Certs and all) but if pulled over in ACT everything is valid given they're feds. Whereas if I was booked in VIC, with all NSW certs and rego, I may be let off. My brother has been let off a few times with his car given it was ACT Rego / licence etc. goodluck nonetheless. I've been hearing a lot of people getting done.

Really? I thought FF5 came out in 2011and 35's are 2009. Would've thought the first r35 would be sold in Japan.

Yeah, I thought Nissan would've had a say, but than again.... FF is the only modified car movie out there. Why wouldn't they jump into free advertising? Of course if the director for FF was like "This R32 will break down and this R33 will lose to this Honda and the R34 will JUST beat a Supra" it could be bad marketing.

Well, apparently R34's are illegal in the states due to some "safety" issue? Didn't pass it in the states, I dunno, that's what I keep reading on youtube comments. But the fact they use an R34 in FF2 kinda defeats the purpose of not "using one", the fact they used it for a scene, one would only assume why not use it for the rest of the movie? Also, the R35 GTR was seen at the VERY end of FF5 - why not use it during FF5? Sure, if the R35 GTR loss to a car, a debate could be had given it's performance but.. yeah.. I just don't understand why they wouldn't use them.

I have a question... why doesn't Fast & Furious use Skylines? Sure they are old (10 years or so) but an R34 or even an R35.. I know the R34 was in FF2 for like a minor moment.. but it blows my mind why they use other cars over such performance cars. (Not being biased - posting on a skyline forum lolol).
