  1. Hi Guys, Just got the car for a few weeks now and currrently in stock standard trim. However I find the gearstick will either bounce, sway or just vibrate whenever I am drive through a bumpy stretch of road or cruising. After checking the gearbox mounting underneath, it all looks fine without any visible cracks however with minimal push of the gearbox, I can see that the gearbox seem to move a little. My car year made is 2000 and doing 80k's km todate. I have driven a A31 Cefiro (manual) and they don't seem to have this effect unless accearating real hard. Anyone experience this on their GTT??
  2. Anyone has opinion on what brand of absorbers that matches the Tein S-tech springs? Tein coilover were too stiff so I eventually bought the springs and use the standard Paraut absorber. However the front got stuffed really fast (6 months???). Appreaciate some advice.
  3. Is there a Bilstein absorbers that could fit the A31 Cefiro. Been looking around for so long but there isn't any available in Malaysia or Singapore. Currently on Tein HR, extremely stiff even on normal roads. Pot holes are a no no as it crashes and probably srew up your alignment. Appreciate if anyone can lead me to getting the Bilstein to match with S-Tech Tein Spring. Cheers!
  4. I am interested to puchase the Whiteline sway bar too. Should I specify that i want the SR type instead of S13? Please advice cause I will be shipping in back to my country in Malaysia. Cheers!
  5. Mine had the same problem and I use a head cleaners spray (for VHS players) on my AFM. Must be due to the HKS powerflow not blocking the dirt enough. After cleaning, pull my batt connectors out (to reset the CPU) then reconnect. Then start it up. Works wonders and car don't feel lag anymore.
  6. Since the S13 Teins are originally low, when we set it on the highest setting where the smaller spring (the thinner ones) are fully compress, is that the right way or we are required to have some allowance for it to move too?
  7. Hi guys I find the ride is too low for S13 coilovers. The springs are shorter and the Teins are gives very ride. Anyone tried JIC or HKS coilovers? Wonder they are low too?
  8. Thanks for the advice, as I was told it came with the whole rack itself. Can we actually pump out the bushes & source the silvia's or R32 pineapples? My mechanic was worried that there is no replacement bushes so end up using another junkyard rack. Is there any OEM bushes still available or is it all aftermarket bushes that's available now? Any brands to recommend? Apreciate your feedback mates.
  9. Has anyone check on the axle bushes which will rupture when old and there is no replacement parts for it unless buying the whole rack (OEM) which is retail at RM 1800 our currency (around AUD 700+ I guess). This is the main bush (4x big ones) which is on the axle that screw into the main body. Junkyard would have many but probably hardened, will crack once reuse. see pic.....circle red Anyone has found an aftermarket replacement for this? PU? Thanks in advance.... :headspin:
  10. Look like I am the oldest here....32 year old. Been driving the ceffy for 4 years and still loving it. Only problem is getting the right suspension setup.....sigh
  11. Hi Guys Do you have any part numbers for the koni's or Bilstein that suits the ceffy? I have been trying to source these for a long time. My previous setup was TEIN coilover but the front was leaking & there isn't any place to get it fixed here in Malaysia. Changed my setup to TEIN S-Tech spring (Medium strength) and standard kayaba absorbers. Handling is way too soft and it is beginning to get weak in damping. With regards to S13 absorber, they are very short in length and the car will sit too low. We have bumps stops as high as 8"-10" inches and non friendly car parks ramps in our malls. Appreciate all the guru's advice. NFS
  12. Hi everyone, I also had specially made spacers and they gives a shundering effect on the steering wheel. Had them for almost 3 years now after installing the 4 pots calipers (rub my rims). Using a 7x17 35offset Front and 8x17 35 offset rear. Off / On wheel balancing sometimes solve the problem only temporary. Now my handling is getting worse so I am planning of using PU bushes for the whole suspension link and those that is link to the body but not sure what brands fits, any advice?
  13. Found a previous pic with the front spoilers after my previous one shattered going through 35 degree parking lot ram. Using a PU material. Still searching for the finish paint job shots. Update later mates......cheers!
  14. Hi everyone Been waiting for this moment on english forum for A31. seen the Thai version with great pictures but had problems with the language. I have own this model for 4 years now with minimum mods like HKS filter, JIC Bullet exhaust, RB25 turbos, 17" volk racing rims, R32/Z32 Calipers. Previously was on Tein HR suspension but almost rattle my brains to bit from wher I come from...Malaysia. Change them back to Tokico standard shocks and Tein S-Tech springs, still not satisfied with the handling. 320km/h Speedometer and great sound system. It's still an auto since the traffic here can be rather terrible at times. Would post my pic once I get hold of a digital camera...... Anyway it's been great to have a dedicated forum for A31 Cefiro cause it's really a wonderful car to drive and a real sleeper until they only see the exhaust pop from the rear!
  15. Previously had the Tein HA (adjustable height only) and it was so stiff. Had to changed them since high speed mid corner bumps can be terrifying. Just changed using standard gas shocks and standard springs to cool off the head shake. Has anyone use this spring before and will it fit on standard gas shocks? Currently running on RB20DET, 17" Volk Racings wheels, JIC exhaust.
