  1. mad34, I managed to fixed my problem but not switching on my sound system as it drws too much current from my battery. However i do want to upgrade the coil, do you have the Splitfire part code number for ER34 GTT? what heat range plugs r u running now & at what boost? I want to boost up to 0.8 to 0.9 bar but wondering whether the standard plugs can take it or not? What is the boost cut for our type of engine?
  2. I managed to fix my problem as posted in Misfire sticky thread. My plugs lean out till idling suffers terribly & hesitation on 4-5k rpm. See my post. Hope this help. BTW is 14.2 volt cupply standard for all RB engines?
  3. Hi Booya, read my post under Misfiring. Hope it help you. Cheers!
  4. Hi Booya, Mine had the same TCS off & SLIP light on on some occasion. Best is to switch engine off, then start the car again. If it is still on then try giving it a rest for 5- 10 mins. Usually mine goes off after that. If you are in a hurry then take it for a short drive then stop and restart again. Everything will be back to normal. Not sure the battery solution would rectify this problem too.
  5. sorry ....car run with player switch OFF. Meaning amp is not ON at all throughout the journey.
  6. Guys...believe i or not.....hahahaha I managed to fix d problem. I can say it's my mistake for overlooking the power supply from the battery when i install amp & woofer for my listening pleasure. although it was bought brand new 2 month ago but the capacity or quality (locally made) wasn't up to task for the all the R&B bass & swingin house music!!. My part supplier mentioned to me that quite a few GTT owner has the same problem as me, some even change battery (other makes) more than twice. It seem the original battery is specially made for our car & last longer. So I went for a long drive (without my player switch on) and suddenly the misfiring begin to disapear as i drove longer, downshifting & open throttle to clean up all the carbon, bit by bit until it can handle full throttle without any hesitation. Engine now purrs like a kitten with very neutral exhaust smell (used to smell rich/lean..). Hope my experienced would solved other owners in future. Many thanks guys for all the feedback...now mmmm Boost controller!! hehehehe
  7. I changed the plug to the original spec for GTT (Guess its platinum) heat range 6. As for NGK copper, what s the code part number & heat range are u guys running? Hope this time it's fix the misfiring (hiccup). Last resort would be Splitfires coils.
  8. Lastly, based on my current mods how much boost can my std turbo take if i upgrade to either one of the ECU? Many thanks in advance guys. Cheers!
  9. What you guys think of the FCon V Pro? I know some prople who can bring the Japs and tune but quite costly. But it has one function that once the A/F is fixed to a certain amount, whatever boost you run the fuel will be optimized for it. I like Power FC but is it easy to learn to tune by myself on the road or dyno?
  10. My current mod is 3" HKS exhaust, Blitz downpipe, Trust oil cooler, std intercooler, std ECU. Intend to upgrade to HKS Type S intercooler + Boost Controller soon. What would you think is next best upgrade, ECU or Turbo first? I am not looking for high HP but more streetable power when the need arises. From what i know is the std ECU won't boost more that 0.8bar. If it was ECU, should i go for F-Con Vpro or Power FC? Pls factor in cost also. If turbo, should it be HKS GT-RS or HKS 2835? What are the characteristic for both turbo compared? intend to boost 1.0bar for daily driving. Need advice...thx in advance
  11. For tires the front should be ok with 235/40/18 without any scrub but the rear will look just right with 265/35/18. This will fill the rear pretty well. Nice ride mate!!
  12. Pics for my ride with R34 GTR stock rims. Btw I have seen R32GTR with this rims & it looks awesome too
  13. Sorry tyres size are 235/40 Front & 265/35 Rear
  14. Skyline model = R34 GTT Wheel type : stock r34 gt-r wheels Wheel diameter = 18" Wheel width = 9" Wheel offset = +30 Tyre size = 245/40 Front & 265/35 Rear Modifications to fit = None. But if i lower it more then i might have to lip the guards Just love the look & design of the rims. And they are pretty light forged rims. Heard they are BBS manufactured. et +30
  15. Hi Guys I also have a R34 NEO, great thread on the turbo upgrade which I hope to do it in the near future. Need the $$$ first, working on the exterior mods atm. Btw, do we have to change the CPU as well if upgraded turbo?
  16. I wish to change mine also, but was ask to try the ENDLESS Y Street specs. Heard they r dusty but safe on rotors and give helluva bite for a small price to pay around $14000YEN/pair.
  17. I had the Toyo T1R for almost 2 weeks which I put them in the front (235/40/18) and in the wet holding is pretty good plus confirdent. Dry is excellent. I am waiting for my rear sets next week (265/35/18). I was told it's better than Yokohama AD07 in the long term usage. You guys reckon it's true?
  18. Hi Guys I seem to have the same problem when I change to HKS Iridiums 7 heat range after a couple of weeks then I started driving it like I stole it. The misfire appeared like waht you guys mentions. My ride s a R34 GTT. Im interested to try out the araldite but am confuse by their range thats available. Can someone show me which type are u all using? I have a link below. http://www.adhesivehelp.com/vantico.html Thanks in advance. Hope to fix this problem so that I can enjoy driving again...Cheers!
  19. Thanks mate for your feedback. The reason I was told about the lag is the piping for the blitz is shorter since it will continue halfway from the existing stock piping and go underneath the intercooler to join the other far end with a 180 turn piping. Where else the HKS intercooler needs the piping to be specially made coming from left through the battery base(bore a hole just like GTR piping arrangement). Would the minimal extra length, will i get more lag? Honestly, I prefer the HKS Type R for the price but the Blitz is new...so getting confused.
  20. I drives a R34 GTT Manual, and I got offers for Blitz intercoolers (new + pipping) that is kitted for the ER34 . However I found an aftermarket for GTR HKS Type R (2nd hand) which is price much lower but I have to do the piping myself yet still cheaper than the Blitz. I was told that the HKS would give me lag. Which one would be a better buy in the long run if my goal would be around 400-450ps in the near future? Thanks in advance. Cheers!
  21. This is such a great forum and many experts opinion. Question is how is the alignment setting and whether the handling is effected compare with the stock standard rims or other after market rims? The design looks great and had offers for a set atm. One last question, if I change the GTT fenders to the GTR ones while still retaining the stock GTT bumpers & bonnet, will there be gaps during fittings? The GTR fender do balance the car up with the GTR rims and will not hit the inside while turning. The GTR bumpers are pretty low for everyday driving. Thanks in advance for the pros....Cheers!
  22. Looks just like mine except for the intercoolers. The car came as it is from Japan stock standard. Just ordered the Blitz coolers and enjoying modding it month after month. I like your clear indicators mate. Enjoy ur drive!!

  24. My car seem to hav the same problem (with a/c on is more prominent), but mine is a R34 GTT manual, 3" exhaust, air filter and new HKS plugs (range 7) because it happened with the old NGK plugs too. The funny thing is everything ran fine when the new plugs when in for a month then just last week I change the timing belt ("Power" Jap brand), the miss came back again. It usually gets more frequent misses intervals during the afternoon. Anything to do with timing or coils? Not sure whether I need to reset the computer again? Appreciate advice Newbie
