  1. spotted black 33 doing squealies on the limiter onto canberra ave off the big roundabout (sturt ave/wentworth ave) this avo 5-45ish... lots of smoke! teehee d
  2. agreed. the cruise we all did last week was good... provided we don't do squealies... hehe d
  3. haha you own a pumpkin!!!! j/k d
  4. nah andrew thats my mate james. he's on here, but never actually gets on (if that makes sense).... d
  5. aaah dude not cool. really sorry to hear (and see) what's happened. what year was it, what condition was it in and how much did you pay for it? (if you don't mind me asking). if you've got the time and patience, stripping it and selling whats good out of it may be a better idea. i say this just because your resale value will be appaling, no matter how good the repairs are. have you had it on the car aligner? is the chassis bent? has anyone thats looked at it said it might be a stat. write-off?? d
  6. i've seen that black/gun 32 r before as well. from memory, i waved and he didn't.... guessing he aint off here... d
  7. hmmm.... legal... we all drive 100% legal cars here in ACT dont we boys and girls and NICK  :looney: heheh d
  8. heh. yeah all the (public) karts at fyshwick and hume suck. they're all so different!!! i've posted 27sec times at hume one race, then struggled to go below 30, same track, same day, similar lines etc... different kart. still... half the fun i spose! depending when it is, i might be in. jayce, you know the drill, remind me closer to the event d
  9. i'm in provided i have the day off. give me lots of notice!!!! and what about a weekday? does that screw things up for anyone?? just that, in my experience, weekdays are ALWAYS significantly less congested and the fuzz isn't out in so much force.... just an idea but lots of you prolly work weekdays... d
  10. Guy at aussie windscreens in phillip did a good job on my rear seal. he reefed my original, shrunk and ****ed seal and replaced the whole thing. nice guy. reasonable price. d
  11. i feel both capital and inline are good workshops. just like anyone (and i mean ANYONE), its quite often impossible to run a business 100% smoothly. you get mistakes sometimes. i can't vouch for chris enough tho. yes, he likes to take his time sometimes, but its of little consequence in the grander scheme of things because the work thats performed is simply brilliant. the knowledge that guy has about all things suspension/brakes etc etc is mind-boggling. he's set up hundreds (probably thousands) of racecars, a lot of which have been quite high profile! and **** me can he drive. god damn.... scared the shit out of me when he took me and my car for a spin after i had some work done taking corners i'd white-knuckle at 140 at speeds well over 170-180. i actually thought i was going to die at one stage. hehe d
  12. aaah yeah i club a bit. death to the moose. i despise the place and the music. academy is good. plenty of good nights out there. north is great to chill out at. lot if theres a decent gig (although i seem to wind up there most nights anyway lol) is OK. hated the place before i saw ltj bukem and now i dont mind it. cartel was over-rated. went there on the opening night (after museum) and left 30 mins later. but, if its beer i'm after, you'll find me at filthies in kingston. my local. my home. my love. mmmm.... d
  13. aah dude. sorry to hear that. i had a similar thing happend to my old 33 and it sux. best of luck. d
  14. haha nice. poor bastard...
  15. might be up for it. someone remind me closer to it. cool. d
  16. hey dude, what's the car doing that makes you think she's munted?? d
  17. hmm that silver/blue thing might be a guy i know. my mate nearly bought one like it. i believe the same guy and his lady own a white 33 s now too. spent lots of money on that car he has... 200+ kw at the bags rb20 from memory. d
  18. Princess Mary of Dapto... hmm.... has a beautiful smile.... and good dress sense...
  19. teeheehee. oh but so much fun i'd imagine.... if you have the gonads to try... d
  20. this thread is vomit-inducing on sooooo many levels. eew. eww. :spew:
  21. nice. let me know how you find the odyssey. without trying to burst your bubble, i've heard they aint as reliable as the price sticker should equate to. d34 in my car methinks... d
  22. overboost, what is the fuse(s) rating on the amp. also curious. cheers david
  23. yeah in your case a defect would be getting off lightly. the gasses released from ordinary wet-cell batteries are explosive, so it probably wasn't too bad an idea anyway for an in-cabin/boot mounted battery.... the guy over at battery factory in fyshwick (bruce? from memory) is really good! how much you end up paying?? d
  24. yum. definately hot. got her number??? :spcow:
  25. hang on, so you're suggesting he buy new gear to replace the stuff that isn't working right???? seems illogical to me. kill hsv, its just a matter of tracking down your problems with your tweets. i wouldn't be replacing a set of splits with "3-way's" and i'd rather poke myself in the eye than fit 6x9's. you've got the right bits, just make them all talk to each other and they'll be just fine. you'll find that the separate component route (i.e. splits) will be a far better block upon which to build, should you want to upgrade and change things in the future. and in regard to rear speakers, you'll find many "sq" systems run no rear speakers at all. pardon the cliche'd phrase from the audio world, but you don't go to a live gig and hear the performers from behind you. rear fill is best left to providing rear-seat passengers with music and multichannel surround systems imo. if you want to run rears, cross them over high (really high) so as to avoid pulling your soundstage backwards and try to fade them out as much as realistically possible. cheers d
