  1. Yes, that was mine. I ordered the parachute option when I bought it from BMW Sydney.
  2. It's clearly detailed in the ANDRA rule book section 4.4.7 Roll Bars / Cages. I had a quick look at the ANDRA site but couldn't find the PDF .. funny since I've got it on my desktop. The summary is that you require a 6 point welded rollcage if you run 10.999 or quicker. However if you have a street registered car with fixed steel roof with an unmodified monocoque construction you can get away with a half cage provided you run no quicker than 10.000 and under 140 MPH. Obviously for a street car the roll bar is much better. The rollcage can be from CM4130 or R531 or Mild steel. Obviously the dimensions of the tube are smaller for Chromoly. For the details of the constuction and tube sizes required you will need to refer to the ANDRA rulebook. The largest sizes required are 1 5/8" x .083" for CM4130 and 1 5/8" x 2.9mm for mild steel. Note that any Chromoly cage must be tech inspected before it is painted or it will not be accepted as CM (the ANDRA tech guy will examine the material for the CM4130 markings).
  3. I'm the one who needs sponsors, not the other way around!
  4. Sanchez, I am saying that it made 770 hp .. but not for long since Theo unfortunately popped the engine.
  5. Just a quick question, has anyone ever done a pass without a slipping clutch?
  6. Adrian, I re-disagree! you should fit the tallest and widest slicks you can fit and then use a different diff ratio or gearbox ratios (or combination) to get the right total gearing. Nothing beats the biggest possible rubber for traction!
  7. Is this Skyline going to receive a cage and race again?
  8. Adrian, are you going this weekend? Depending on Erik's movements I may have a ticket for sale Sat and Sun!
  9. Sanchez, yes we've got two matching fully upholstered seats fitted, as well as the interior pieces and operative controls. I spoke to Jason O'Halloran extensively about the build as we were planning it to make sure we're in the green as far as rules go.
  10. Which class will you be running in Sanchez?
  11. I've seen racers with that sticker (Street racing is not drag racing). Why not get a batch of them for all here who race Wednesday nights?
  12. Yes, you're right. As long as the trap speed stays under 140 MPH and the ET is slower than 9.999 you can fit a half cage with an intrusion bar. I don't think you'd bother though because it's easier to get the full cage done and be done with any more hassles no matter what ET or trap speed you run (as far as roll cages go). 4.4.7 Roll bar/cages Street registered cars with a fixed steel roof and unmodified monocoque construction running between 10.00 and 10.99 (1/4 mile) and/or less than 140 mile per hour (225 kph). Single rollover hoop covering the full width ofthe drivers compartment with two bolted backstays and a bolted side intrusion bar constructed to ANDRA requirements as a minimum. All other sedans, sedan based or open vehicles 10.99 and quicker. Full roll cage mounted at a minimum of 6 points.
  13. You don't? ANDRA disagrees! No cage no fun!
  14. SPORT RWD .. like all good street cars.
  15. Half cages are not acceptable. The rules are clearly laid out in the ANDRA rulebook. you need a minimum six point welded cage.
  16. I use Mickey Thompson ET Drag on my M Coupe and they are great. Sizes I'll leave for a Skyline owner to comment since mine aren't relevant to you. Suffice to say you want the tallest and widest slick you can fit. Drag radials have the advantage that you can drive to the track with them fitted. What is HPI? I smell rice cooking!
  17. Good to here about the R34 on the way. Mick's Skyline will definitely improve ET and trap speed with the spark plugs. Imagine if he gave it a wash! We will be out when this phase of build on the M Coupe is completed. We will have to run the new engine in before the final tune as well so we should be out again April-May 2005.
  18. Hehe, hey how are you? Can't let the youngin' beat your best time without putting up a fight!
