have you looked under the oil filler cap? check to see if there's any mayo type looking sttuf, which could indicate a blown head/head gasket etc. also check the hoses around the sprayed area for crack etc. but as para said, give it a clean and see if it comes back.' steve p.s refer to the cum stains thread for cleaning

why dont you get another gauge? and have both oil and water

great, thanks for the info Duncan. I still have to pull the old ones out to see which size i have. as im sure they need replacing. both of them are giving me a 1.2v reading when i accelerate! steve

all i know is a ecu reset, clears stored errors. e.g if you afm was stuffed and the ecu showed the code for a stuffed afm, a reset would clear this code (just untill the ecu sees the stuffed afm again) rumour has it, depending on the problem a ecu can into "limp home mode" which makes it run very rich, just to get you home or some crap like that...... steve

thanks for that geoff. ill try to pull mine out during the weekend and take some measurements. i checked out fast, and both the ecu and oxy sensors have the same serials on the r32 and r33 gtrs? steve

both my clock and buzzer unit dont. i quickly checked for power and found 0 volts, so i think i got a power problem somewhere

yeah i went for the greenstuffs. seem ok at high speeds, sometimes squeel at low speeds, the dusting isnt too bad either

so the r33 ones are smaller in size? dam it, this past week ive been searching for new r32 rb26 oxy sensors!! so i guess ill have to start my search over again. I suppose what ill do is take them out and see if they are the 32 or 33 sensors. thanks steve

ummm, youll find only the gts/t's came in side feed, and the gtrs all came in top feed. as far as i know the r33rb26 and the r32rb26 engines look exactly the same. and the all the sensors are in the exact same spots, the injectors also have the same resistor pack, which means the injectors are the same impedance. i just dont know if the afms, knock sensors and oxygen sensors have the same paramaters, thus needing the ecu they were made for. steve

hey guys, i found out today that i have a 95 r33 rb26 in my 89 r32gtr, and was wondering would that cause any issues in the way it ran? will a r32 gtr ecu and afm work properly with a 33 rb26? are any of the other sensors differant? e.g oxygen, knock etc?? she seems to be running fine at the moment, the idle is good and runs pretty well (for a stock engine) thanks Steve

f**k me. i called nissan up again to double check the price, just incase i misheard. Prices are: Bottom insulator: $14.90 EACH!! Top insulator: $6.00 EACH!! O Rings: $14.90 EACH!! That come to a grand total of $214.80 for less than 100grams of rubber. steve

yeah no worries man. i might pull the injectors out sat morning, and take one down. they look exactly the same as the ones in my old laser, although the sizes might be differant. Im sure i can find them for cheaper else where, after all, it is a small rubber ring. steve
