  1. Just an update for the people that didn't see my post in the e-manage thread....the ignition harness works if a 3.3V Zener diode is wired in reverse bias with the ignition signal wire. If anyone needs more details just PM me...I'll probably post a diagram of it as well. It's great now I can actually alter my ignition timing
  2. Grex...isn't that Trust?
  3. OK guys here is the news...I've hooked up the igniton harness with no problems. Each one of the signal wires going to the coils has had a 1W 3.3V Zener diode placed in series...REVERSED BIASED. Basically this means that any signal from the e-manage below 3.3V will not be able to go to the coils...meaning that there is NO idle current load on them. This also means that the 5V signal from the e-manage is actually 1.7V...much closer to the factory signal voltage (Zeners work by allowing only a voltage flow over what they are rated as....therfore 5v - 3.3v = 1.7v) I've noticed no ill effects on the auto shifting...in fact it's improved for me as the CAS is now set back to it's factory position, with only the problem RPM points retarded. I hope that for some of you this is good news. Dan

  5. 6 months later and my ignition timing still hasn't been sorted this weekend the computer is getting played with some more to squeeze those extra Kws. hea69d...you'll need a fuel pump too, mentioned that further down the list...and timing control too
  6. if you find out Knore let me know, cause I'm bound to fry the box one day
  7. Yeah just buy the FC that suits the loom you use..easy!
  8. Yeah there are a few getting around, it's the R34 ones that are hard to get your hands on I think 19,500 may be pushing it a bit.....I wouldn't be expecting much over 18,000 for it. Sounds like your airbag is faulty...that's the only thing that will make the SRS light continually flash...better chop another 1,000 off the asking price

  10. "Why you wouldn't get a skyline!" cause I've won the lotto and bought a 911 Turbo...I wish!!!
  11. Probably from Brisbane Street Machines...that's my guess
  12. JC are the best on following through with stuff...recently had a guy drive into me..they were onto it in a flash, had the car booked in for repair within a week without any hassle! Great service from them, well worth the money.
  13. Yeah I've got one of the unstamped ones....it was on a GTi-R for a few weeks and seemed to do it a world of good....haven't got the piping hooked up on my car yet.
  14. This is definately a goer...just tring to finalise a venue, either way it IS happening
  15. Seems to be doing a good enough job for my car...and easily pr0grammed with a laptop..can't ask for much more
  16. You're a champ Bob! I wish *I* had been given some for nothing as well haha
  17. The factory packs are pretty limited...anything would be better than them. I've already gone through 5 packs on my car!!!
  18. Did someone say e-manage
  19. But everyone knows you can't put a turbo on an N/A engine! Oh wait that's only when people think it's too much hassle.....when will people learn
  20. From Ians site - http://www.r34gtt.net/r34problems.html 1 - 18" R34 Alloys and Tyre Size - I boought these and fitted 235/40 fronts and 255/35 rears. However the fronts are very slightly larger than the rears (about 1 inch in circumference) which means that, unfortunately, the Traction Control System (TCS) can "see" this difference and, at around 80mph, it activates. So I now have to drive around with the TCS off until I change the rears to 265/35 which will remove this difference. Update - I have now sold these alloys & tyres and bought a new set 18" with the following (correct) offset's - 18"x8" +32 fronts with 235/40 and 18"x9" +38 rears with 265/35 rears and I no longer have any TCS problems.
  21. I think it was the slight circumference difference that actually caused it to think the rear wheels were actually spinning faster than the front...check his site..it mentions it in detail.
  22. They do clear...the problem was related to the traction control If I remember correctly..the details are on his website.
  23. haha I could take an MX-6 Turbo when my car was N/A!!! Get your car to a tuner quick smart..it sounds "not quite right"
