  1. OK the Turbine sensor is something else on the gearbox (fluid turbine) it detects that the gearbox is in motion. Pin 47 is the turbo pressure sensor, it tells the ECU to cut fuel during overboost, it's located centrally on the firewall purely a backup for overboost protection if the AFM doesn't see it. The boost sensor for the gauges is the one next to the brake booster and doesn't go to the ECU at all, so there isn't a pinout for it, just a direct feed. If you skip to the section about the triple meter you wil see a picture of the other type of sensor where they do the pressure calibration test. I'm assuming if you have the TV thingo you don't have this extra sensor near the brake booster at all, so in that case one from an R33 will do (same design and location and pins)
  2. 6000K are due on the 22nd December for those that asked.
  3. Right Price Exhausts may be able to help you out @ Moss St
  4. Any place that does brake lines can do it, funnily enough Pirtek and Enzed were as useful as tits on a bull when I saw them. If it wasn't a banjo they didn't want to help.
  5. The R34 dump pipe is longer and steeper. The R33 one will hit the firewall and need an extension to fit.
  6. In my first post I've got a recommended colour for the plastic, go to supercheap and check it out, it's a good match
  7. The car must have had the premium sound system, it's upside down in those, the A/C unit is different and sits lower down under the factory CD player. Have you got any pics? Best option may be to get a regular GTt climate control and surround to replace it, it's a pain in the arse to wrok around as everything is spaced weird This is what would have been under your vents- Normally look like this (ignore the extra triple gauges, they're in the pocket slot)
  8. I'd void the warranty in minutes I'm afraid There is no way I'd leave the car stock standard, same goes for a 996 Turbo, I'd get it chipped for sure.
  9. Platinum
  10. Maybe true, but Australia is full of cashed-up people that aren't bothered too much about price and want a GTR TODAY!!! It'll sell, while they have rarity on their side they won't last at pretty much any price. Judging by the plates it has even more sales appeal to our oriental cousins
  11. What are super spark coils???? Why are so many people just not getting 'tried and tested' Splitfires? They're not even expensive anymore and work no questions asked. You've defiantely got a missfire there, what you're explaining I can only achieve with moisture in the cam valley....or when I didn't have splitfires.
  12. I'm also miffed how you managed to fit a diesel nozzle in.....theyre designed differently for the "life challenged" people out there, if you managed to defeat this safety feature you truly are king.
  13. I'm betting timing related as well. What's your opinion Trent? I've seen it in my car due to a knock sensor that was overly sensitive (even at idle) What other triggers have you seen to get similar timing fluctuations? Sam I'd look at a ROM tune, you're paying a stupid amount of money there to run a yet untested piggy-back setup of the R34 shift logic.
  14. Western Suburbs Automatics - I was quoted $165 for my R34 Auto service http://www.wsautomatics.com.au/
  15. Trust me, you'll only be getting to 14psi MAX! The boost cut sensor is very girl-like and kicks in very early (normally 13.5psi) your gauge may be a little off.
  16. Hope you don't get done for that dust leak, I can see evidence on the cam covers
  17. I do kind of agree. There is a guy on ebay (Chinese funnily enough) who has gone to the extreme of cloning my LEDs, cloning my ads and trying to undercut me on price. It is costing me business and the average Joe doesn't actually realise the time and effort that went into my current design, and how the other guys LEDs actually fall a fair bit short as they're a rip-off of the 1st Gen LEDs I had. It's not until they've bought his, realised they're dodge...they have then been poisoned against that style of LED, which unfortunately doesn't do me any favours. Luckily my ones are properly packaged with my company logo etc etc and he hasn't stopped that low to try and copy that part...yet. Also about the eggs, this article does mention a few of my concerns....especially regarding the taste and general egg-like performance of them. I think we've been punked! http://www.hoax-slayer.com/fake-eggs-china.shtml

    Fuel Pump

Make sure you do something with the intank reg as well, it's a crappy piece of violet plastic inline with the hose, they're not so great. If you can get one from a GTR they're better. Even an R34 GTR fuel reg on the rail is a straight swap
  19. I wouldn't connect to the ECU turbo pressure sensor (47) it's output is scaled differently to the boost sensor that normally connects to the triple gauges, it will give false readings. Just grab a sensor off an R33, it sits near the fire wall in the drivers side corner. Also oil temp at pin 60 is only on the Tiptronic GTt
  20. Queensland is the only state where you can record a conversation without consent of the person you're talking to (currently) not if you're not involved in the conversation though. "The Invasion of Privacy Act 1971 (Qld) prohibits the use of a listening device to listen to or record a private conversation where the person is not a party to the conversation" The Police never openly tell you that they're recording, but some are courteous enough to have the recorder in full view so that it's implied, they'll not verbally aknowledge it though. The old addage applies here- 'good records facilitate good defence, poor records a poor defence and no records no defence' - A complete record of the conversation prevents relying (poorly) on memory and will provide all the defence you require. As long as you've been truthful and courteous and aren't at fault.
  21. The best "caught in the act" for me was when I was doing my tax return late one night. I had pulled into the carpark space, lights off sitting there just grabbing some receipts on the passenger seat when some clown in a Holden Combo reversed unnecessarily too far to get out of his space all the way across the carpark and bang into the front of my car. He got out had a look at what he had done, didn't see me in the car as it was dark, then tried to drive off.....only took me a couple of seconds to get after him and pull him out of the car The funniest bit was I got all of his licence details, but then he got his mates to pretend he "didn't live there" when I rang with the quote the next morning....I just let the insurance handle it and it cost him a fair bit more than what I was quoted The tax man said this guys premium on a Holden Combo was over $2.5K as he was that bad a driver!!!!
  22. So are you still going to recoup costs through the workshop for everything that was damaged and stolen? Also I'm not sure how it goes with no insurance, but I'd pay to get a syringe check done...they thoroughly go through the car so you don't get nasty suprises. A friend once got stuck by a discarded syringe in their recovered car.
  23. White R34 "Keeley" on Lutwyche Rd....couldn't manage a wave, lacking energy from a wicked awesome hangover
  24. Yep I saw the Green one as well, but on Algester Rd....it's a very strange colour as it doesn't immediatley trigger fear I wonder if that means they have new ruling about where they need to put the "speed camera in use" sign. As the Vito I saw had it in front of the vehicle, no point it warning you way after it's got you....oh wait maybe that is the idea
