i dont know exactly but i dont think its much. The process is same as a clear coat, only the clear has a bit of pearl mixed into it. a lot of 2pak paintjobs have 2 clear top coats anyway, to achieve that high gloss look. they simply mix pearl into the first clear coat, then spray the second clear coat over that.

this has been explained in super high detail by myself and others! so if you want the exact answer you should find it in a search.

in regards to engine/turbo condition, if it doesnt piss out black smoke when you floor it, thats a good start.

But factory boost gauges can be faulty, i had mine running 12psi, and the factory needle hardly moved into the +zone for some reason.

oofoofoo i got my unit and controller second hand for less than the price of a new unit on its own, maybe look at sourcing a second hand one.

you dont need a retune everytime you change from low to high. My understanding is you get it tuned to the highest boost you would run, so therefore anything lower than that, the engine will only run possibly a bit richer, and be further away from detonation.

its certainly not a waste of time having one! Have you sen what can be displayed on it? It can show up to 8 different engine stats at once, eliminating need for extra gauges. eg digital water temp, knock level, intake temp, injector duty cycle etc etc... of course you dont need to see all those things, but i love the digital water temp and air intake temp -also you can see your speed, so if you only have the std 180kmh speedo, you can see readings higher than that. You can easily play with things such as idle speed and rev limit, so for peace of mind if someone else has to drive, set the limiter to 4grand or something then stash the controller! above all else, they look cool, green backlight, stuck to the dash

As stated Kings Lows springs, prob had about Ten thousand K's use. $200 i think the drop is 1inch which is sensible but looks nice. Ride is great and worked well with my stock shocks- some say they dont, but they did with mine, no probs at all, nice ride. Pic of the car with the springs in:-

GTB055 4 grand is a pretty good price "for a good paint job" ie you cant really say its a good price till you see the end result. With this sort of thing id never settle on the cheapest quote simply for that reason. Find a reputable place (it shouldnt be hard to find a friend or friend of a friend who knows someone personally -this helps for peace of mind). the old saying of you get what you pay for.

standard manual 33 gtst is 6.2 0-100. auto a bit slower i would say your auto should be doing it in less than 8sec for sure.

agree franks. At least with this car you know exactly its history! most of us with 33's or earlier that all have the trademark 60k on the clock dont know the half of it!

your in sydney, go to queen st smash and check out their colour chips, you'll find a stack of awesome blues that you can "customise".

i would seriously consider a different colour. Only because this colour is popping up on a lot of cars -obviously because it looks wickid! But, with a bit of thought you could come up with something new and unique, plus the satisfaction of saying "its custom" when ppl ask what the colour is I went to my painter with the colour in mind, and got him to spray me a few plaques in different shades of the colour, and with different pearls, then i chose from those. Its fun too! Having a colour no-one else can easily copy. im definitly not against the ford blue, looks awesome.

hi hippy, im actually sticking with the teins. I can order genuine Tein springs for the coilovers or have them made by industrial springs. As my dad knows the boss there that will be the cheaper option. (genuine Tein springs made to my specified spring rate are about 300 a pair!) so my kings lows are for sale again i guess! Did you get your suspension sorted yet?

Sorry to hear bout your car. If i see it ill give the guy an ass kickin for sure... But unfortunately its unlikely that whoever took it is using it for transport. A mates supra got nicked from Maq Centre, Apparently the GREEN level is the worst, he works there and spoke to the cops. Ive seen cop cars do drive thrus around the carparks so it must really be a prob. The uni carparks:- im surprised at the amount of nice cars students have, and park at uni! Theres always a handfull of skylines, inc a hot dark blue 32 GTR. anyone hear own it?
