  2. if your going to cut the front of that plenum out and put the throttle body there dont expect your engine to last long. I have seen many of them break because of that mod. It changes the flow of the plenum and individual cyl's end up running lean. Your better of getting a plazmaman or leaving it how it is.

  4. disconnect both turbos from the air filter pipe and the boost pipes and check the turbos. Check that the inlet pipes do not have any oil or milky oil. If they are 100% clean then id go see a mechanic to be sure, do a leakdown test and compression test as well

  7. your better off selling what you have and buying a nice high flow. Its going to cost you too much for what you get and it will be a bit laggy

  10. id think that most things external to the engine will need to be modded, you might need to make a plenum that sits closer to the engine and make a custom exaust manifold for the car. who knows ive never done it before

  13. i tried tuning one of these fake z32 afm's once and it would not read anything over 13psi of boost, it was crap. Replaced it with a new unit and its all good now ! A fake power fc will be farked. it will probly crash after 20 minutes of driving or something lol

  15. if it sounds like a rexy then its not running on 6 cyl. I would disconnect one coil pack at a time while its running and when you do if the car feels like it runs rougher when its unplugged then that coil pack is OK. if you disconnect one and the engine does not change the way it runs at all then thats the cyl that your having the problem with. Take that coil pack out and swap it with another cyl and then start the car and unplug the cyl that you put the coil pack into, if there is no change again then you know you have a dud coil pack. I have some series 2 coil packs that i can sell if your interested.
  16. i had coilpacks in my car that would miss on idle and on very light cruise but they made 363rwkw without missing. Coil packs can fail on any part of engine operation
  17. do another search. If you use the rb20 ecu you will have to add a external device to trigger the VCT. if you dont you will lose down low power.
  18. coilpacks can cause this, how did you test them ? did you try a different set thats working?
  19. if you do it wrong you can destroy your engine. Probly better to get him to do it and pay him. I would replace your timing belt if you have not done it in the last 50k km's
  20. nah not yet, but i would like to once its tuned up thats cool man, i will ring you in a sec mine is a rb30det, so its not tooo bad. these turbos are great for rb's !! my car sounds sooo much tuffer, especially in the mid range and just before it hits limiter, and when it hits limiter man it sounds like a animal! on low boost. i dunno if i will go much further then 22psi this time around

I know no one probly cares.. but i had some interesting fun with this new turbino on my car tonight I gave it a quick street tune, just 3 hits in second gear only to fix the arf's up, got it down to 11.3 afr and far out. I would have to say it has close to the same power before on only 18psi of boost. This car is now going to be an animal, i was shocked after the third run and did not hit boost again, bit hairy going sideways and stuff. cant wait to spend a few hours on the dyno with it. and on the map tracer you can see that the boost does come on 400rpm later, it goes to full load 19 at rev point 12 when before it used to be 11. not bad! im going to like this new setup

  23. boost kept at around 12 13 psi it would last heaps longer. i was surging the shit out of mine, it was very loud and high pressures saw it only last between 3 and 4 years.
