Yeah you are right they are cracking up a bit around the edges and a few chunks out of the middle of the pad. How far did you push yours before changing them?

This makes sense. The 3000's peak between 500 - 600 deg but still have as much friction as the 2500's at 300, the 2500's taper off after 300. I guess a lot of the reports of high pad / rotor wear could just be to do with pad overkill with the 3000's and not getting them up to temp, or not having adequate cooling with the 2500's.
Have any of you guys measured your brake temps after stages?
