For the sake of your own sanity, catch the train to Adelaide and put the car on the back. Adelaide to Melbourne is bearable without cruise, but not Adelaide to Perth. You'd also want to take octane booster with you, as premium won't be available in many places.

lol at the defenders of the faith... I'm sorry but both STis and Evos have much better low down torque than GT-Rs, making them a much better prospect for daily use, Stock v stock. Bottom end torque has never been the RB's strong point. GT-R owners, go and drive a 260RS and see how much worse it is with a few extra kilos on board. The biggest problem I can see with driving an STi is that, since 1999 at least, they've been as ugly as a hatful of arseholes.

I had these on my Y34 Cedric, but the car was sold without them and they won't fit an Evo 8, so they have to go to finance the rims that WILL fit! These rims are extremely rare in Oz. Stich rims are Japanese manufactured and very high quality. Don't quote me on all these, but they should also fit V35 Skylines, FD RX-7, Toyota Chaser/Mark 2, Toyota Aristo, Toyota Celsior, Toyota Supra and most other 5x114.3 fitments. Front: 19x8.5 +26 with Nankang Ultra Sport NSII 215/35s - 85mm lip Rear: 19x9.5 +26 with Falken Ziex ZE-326 235/35s - 100mm lip Wheels have some gutter rash in a couple of spots, tyres are ok for short term use but not much meat left on them - some camber wear on the fronts especially. Price has now been dropped to $2300. Wheels are in Adelaide.

My suggestion, take the best photo you can, and put it in Unique Cars with a colour ad. The buyers in there are older and generally better cashed up.

Misinformation...it's a beautiful thing... If for example, you're looking at a GT-R out of the UK, shipping is obviously more, but the big issue is that the car needs to have originally been sold on the Japanese Domestic Market, then exported to the UK, in order to be complied in Australia under SEVS. The only way to prove this is by having the export certificate provided when the car leaves Japan, which quite often goes missing in the UK if the car has been on-sold.
