  1. And if you're wanting a V Spec or V Spec II, you'd spend the same money importing one if you were after something that wasn't a bag of sh*t with the kms wound back.
  2. Did someone unplug your sarcasm detector?
  3. lol imagine the lag... it would have a useable rev range of about 1000rpm...
  4. Yes, although there were a few that came into Vic - they were "rebuilt" using a loophole the Vic govt had going for a while, but be warned, they can't be registered anywhere else apart from Victoria.
  5. Too similar to the normal Lancer wagon and the Evo 9, both sold here in full volume, to be considered a separate model rather than a variant. Only option is if someone personally imports one.
  6. Some friends of mine in Japan are currently shopping for one, it'll eventually come back as a personal import, but aside from that there's no likelihood that they'll ever be eligible under SEVS, unfortunately.
  7. Pulsar VZ-R? Civic Type R? AE111 Levin/Trueno?
  8. bB will eventually be on, but that's at least 12 months away.
  9. I was hoping someone else would answer before I did lol The first one is a fairly major service, all belts and fluids done, at the end of 2008. The second and third ones are previous service records from a previous service at the end of 2007, but from what I can read, the car gets a pretty clean bill of health. The last one is the roadworthy inspection certificate needed for re-registration. It actually reads very nicely. I think you've bought a good one there.
  10. Not gonna be happening any time soon unless someone can find me an article on them in stock form in a car magazine.
  11. My first suggestion - if your budget is $40-45K, buy an R33 GT-R and save the rest for running costs and insurance.
  12. You should drive your car around without any oil, and when it blows, sue the pants off them because that's what the service department recommended
  13. Any members in here from Lyndoch??!!
  14. Your sarcasm detector seems to be unplugged Ben
  15. Never had it till Evo X.
  16. When I was approached about bringing one in for the first time a year or two ago, I actually thought the same thing, Ben - evidently DoTaRS doesn't mind. I've brought a few in since. http://rvcs-prodweb.dot.gov.au/sevs/030-00.htm
  17. Coming from the country that builds this...
  18. Hi Brendan, It might pay to do a search on this topic, because it has been covered numerous times in this section already. Also please tell me that the car you've found isn't on tradecarview, because you're bound to have your heart broken.
  19. Sorry couldn't resist... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Si...02#entry4142102
  20. If that were the case, it would be a joint Vic/SA task force to bust some kind of rebirthing scheme, not interstate cops being seconded to work on regular patrol duties in our state (unless for obvious emergencies, as happened with the Victorian bushfires where local officers were clearly overstretched). Other states are finding it just as difficult as SA is to get people to join the force, they're hardly gonna offload 60 officers just to help us out with routine matters. Jeez, you guys, how gullible are you??! Best wives' tales I've read all week!
  21. It achieves nothing, which is why you have to own it AND drive it. Among other things, they ask for copies of every page of your passport - pretty hard to prove you were driving a car in Japan if you were living in Australia
