  1. You have to kind of understand the typically ambiguous nature of the Japanese language to truly appreciate it, but USS Tokyo only seems to grade their cars on the bits you can see, so you can theoretically have a grade 4.5 with rust underneath so bad that you can punch your fist through the floor. That's why it's so important to have someone there to check it out. That sheet reads pretty well to me - you have the rest of the translation via email already
  2. Surely USS Tokyo would be accurate in their gradings...*insert choking noise*
  3. In most cases, brokers will all have access to the same cars - one of the worst mistakes people make is enlisting the services of more than one broker, only to end up bidding against themselves at auction. As for contact, it really depends on how busy the broker is as to whether or not you'll be contacted when there are no suitable cars. It does often take a while, depending on how rare the car is you're looking for.
  4. The one least likely to be faked is the build plate will be gold.
  5. Non-turbo R32s can't be imported under SEVS - they don't meet minimum power/weight ratios.
  6. This belongs in the Importing section You can take the car home before it gets complied, but it must be complied within 12 months of arriving in the country. As for costs, it really depends on how much the car is. Feel free to email a reputable broker for more information lol
  7. Add "CANNOT BE IMPORTED" to that list....deary me...
  8. http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0...5006301,00.html Maybe I should wait for the next Road Safety minister to be inducted before I schedule a meeting time lol
  9. Just getting it off the ground in SA will be a big enough challenge... No reason why I shouldn't aim high though. I personally would like to see nation-wide regs for registration and roadworthies first...none of this "it's legal in that state, but not here, you need a new engineer's certificate" stuff...
  10. It's a fair number if he wants manual
  11. I'd be VERY curious to know how they're gonna get that through compliance....
  12. If I plasma coat my head, will it stop my hair falling out?
  13. A hex on you then, and anyone else who doesn't attend All Japan Day Collingrove is awesome, very tight track better suited to Evos than GT-Rs. The track is much narrower from inside the car
  14. You'll need to get a crash repairer to colour match it, as there were about 5 different bronzes used throughout the years.
  15. There are plenty of nice Evos at auction in Japan too, just waiting to be plucked
  16. Simon, feel free to shoot me an email if that's not what you're after, but I must admit, they don't half look sexy with those 19s
  17. That would be the one - damn you, dyslexia lol
  18. 19s are in the garage, springs arrived from Japan today, and the car is on a transporter - weeeeeeee. Now to get the damn thing ready for All Japan Day next weekend, look out for the pics
  19. Cheers for YOUR input too, Rhys. Update: had a meeting today with some very well-connected guys today who are very keen to see things get off the ground. More meetings coming up as a result lol.
  20. lol like anyone on here is old enough to remember THAT movie... Anyone who poo-poos the R35 and it's trans have clearly never been in one. In R-mode, smooth is the last word I'd use to describe it. I agree with the theory that you don't have to have a fast car to have fun, but it sure helps
  21. Spotted a black 260RS with the number plate...surprise surprise...[260RS] driving down North Terrace this arvo, I was a few cars back from you when you turned off. Aside from that, I managed to sneak into town in the N1, park on Pirie Street for an hour, drive home via Rundle Street, and still not see a single Skyline lol You biyatches better be coming to All Japan Day. The list of entrants is off its lips.
  22. Adam are you or your mate able to get hold of any research done to back up the benefits of advanced driver training? It's all good ammo when the time comes to convince governments to support it.
  23. Yeah a few of the guys keen to get involved are already doing similar sort of stuff. I like the term "Driver Awareness Course" too, if you don't mind me pinching it off you
