Air Conditioner Fan In Dash Stopped Working ?
Penfold replied to Guilt-Toy's topic in General Maintenance
Awesome work fellas, My air-con blower just died & turned out exactly the same as peterns - same connection exactly. Swapped with mate to check. But yeh that coppery looking band had some off in the same spot - will try soldering it up tomorrow (i'll post some pics) Big Cheer, Pen -
Chasing up a set of street 245/45/17 or 255/40/17s for stock R33 GTR rims - don't mind paying for lotsa tread - near new hopefully Cheers, Pen

Hiyas, Well its tyre time again. Previously I have had 245/245/17 inches & 255/240/17 inches Falken & Federal respectively. Now I'm not that much a performance junky and the previous place I bought tyres from reckon the don't stock those sizes anymore. Just wondering who runs 235's on the stock GTR rims? Cheers, Pen

Hi, Went to have a quick look over car today & noticed the radiator was full but the overflow bottle had no coolant in it at all - bone dry. Wierd because it hasnt be losing coolant underneath etc & the mechanic servied it like 2000 km ago so I hadn't bothered to check. There was a bit of brown gunk under the radiator cap when i looked too. However, the temp guage has not been up and just driving to work & back. Any chance of damage? Cheers, Pen

wow they are completely different cars

Oil - Pressure Variance On Acceleration?
Penfold replied to Penfold's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Heh, its amazing what a bit of searching can do - it appears its totally normal I guess the N1 Oil Pump & it must be a thinner oil to make it flow around more. Thanks, Pen -
Hi, Had my engine rebuilt about 9000km ago. Lately I have been noticing that the oil pressure guage fluctuates more than it used to. At idle, low accelaration it sits on just above the 2 (kg/cm2) but on acceleration it goes up to just below the 4 (kg/cm2) - it moves vary quickly. I know before the rebuild the pressure did not vary that much. I do have a remote oil filter too and the oil temps seem normal. Is this ok? Cheers, Pen

Just wondering whats going on with the DNS - most of the time we seem to be getting sent to a skylinesaustralia.com add site. Maybe DNS hijack. Looks like its IInet, Westnet so far Cheers, Pen

My Blitz Dual does the same after it warms up though it seems to settle down - have a search this has been answered before - maybe ticking boost, etc. Cheers, Pen

Central Locking Working 50% Of Time (pulled Door Off)
Penfold replied to Penfold's topic in General Maintenance
Oh thanks I'll check it out I guess relay would play up both sides? Thanks, Pen -
Ok, For a bout a week my central locking on the drivers side has been shakey. Sometimes it unlocks/sometimes it doesnt - but the key and manual unlocking still works. I pulled off the trim and was examing it. The manual locking and unlocking is fine, however, when the servo (or whatever) tries to push it up looks like it simply doesnt have the force (i can assist it by pulling it up pretty easy). When it tries to pull it down after it hasnt raised fully it makes a wirring/clicking noise as it tries to pull it down after its already down. So I guess I need to replace they pushing/pulling doohicky? Anyone else had the problem? feedback? Cheers, Pen

At this point I would like to check if you have put aside $8000 or so for the possibility of a rebuild.

Don't have car atm so don't have VIN Found one for R33 GTR from 96 should work 1996 R33 GTR BCNR33-024671 Also, I guess I need the VIN off a N1 GTR for the N1 oil pump too

Hiyas, As per topic chasing up a GTR flywheel as I'm swapping my worn GMAX clutch back to a single plate clutch.

Just asking if you guys would know if these are the right parts - someone with nissan fast setup maybe? Anyway your feedback would be great. Oh my car is R33 GTR 1995 model. Nissan OEM BCNR33 GTR Crank Angle Sensor "NISSAN SENSOR A-CRANK 23731-02U11" ? Nissan OEM GTR N1 Oil Pump "NISSAN ASSY OIL PUMP 15010-24U01" ? Also one other question I was getting block bored & honed to 86.5mm and was wondering if Tomei RB26 Gasket Kit (1.2mm) (87mm) would suit. As far as I can tell tomei only make a 87mm and an 88mm gaskets. Sorry don't have car atm but you could use this r33 GTR one: 1996 R33 GTR - BCNR33-024671 Cheers, Pen

Sard 700cc Injector Lag Settings In Fc-datalogit
Penfold replied to saliya's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Heres a document that I got from AP engineering site with recommended corrections: http://members.iinet.net.au/~ptv/injectorcomp.rtf Hope that helps, Pen -
Standard GTR AFM's - will hit the max 5.115v at around 260rwkw Just check your PowerFC to see voltage. Also, your probabaly at the limit of a 33 gtr without really getting keen & rebuilding - however, I wouldnt rebuild unless its broke in which case put aside $$$ now for the rebuild when stuff breaks.

Cmon hes just using her to get a free watch. Not that it would work hes black so I reckond he'd have stolen it anywhoo
-
Cmon guys, the obvious answer is to buy a $100 AWA tv and spend the other $3400 on the car.
-
Yeh my car did the exact same thing. I got a PowerFC and it ran fine but my CAS is fuxored & difficult to turn so I am rebuilding and buying a new one.

It's a Nismo Gmax Item - I'll have to find the version number. It's not too bad while your moving just annoying to drive to and from work and stopping at lights etc. Which is basically 90% of my driving - I'm rebuilding engine at the moment so I'm keen to replace it with a decent single.
