Definitely take the steering wheel, any pics? Also, if you had the hand brake leather grip - see pic mine is a bit crappy. Also, the driver's side power window surround thingo - mines looking a bit crappy. Even if yours isnt in great condition it would be great to have one to paint up. Thanks, Geoff

Cool, will give it a go. Only got the battery a year ago - Delkor 22F-520FD. Its weird because the battery is on 12 volts when I went to start it before several drives today. It does go all the way up to 14volts after driving for a bit so everything seems normal. But then it will slowly drop after a few days. Thanks!

Hi, Car - R33GTR (powerfc) Just reporting on a problem I've been experiencing recently. Had the battery light come on during a fairly long drive and have since then been watching the voltages on my powerfc. Seem to be gradually dipping down from 12 volts when the light came down, right down to about 10.5 volts. However, this was happening pretty slowly. Decided to not drive the car for about 5 days to see what would happen. Went to start the car and didnt have enough juice - voltage was less than 10 volts. Hooked up the charger and showed the battery being pretty exhausted so left it on all night and filled right up. Went for a few drives over the next few days - volts when running went up to 14 volts for a few trips. Then gradually started going down again. Dropped down to about 11.8 volts again & the battery light came on so wacked on the charger again and showed that the battery was again pretty exhausted => recharged again. Do you guys think its time for a new alternator?

Are they bolts or screws? Because if they are bolts I can't work out how to get to the other side?

Ok, So didn't get much of a response in the maintenance forum so I'll see if I can get some help here. I have 2 pieces of damage to the rear bumper seen here: and I have then used some 80 grit wet sand paper to file it back as per here: and What would the ideal method to repair this? I Was going to use some fibreglass reinforced filler over it and sand back. Then was going to use some primer/filler spray can to smooth it over and sand back. Then I was going to do basecoat with acrylic gloss black then acrylic clear coat. Hey are these the 3 bolts on each side that I have to remove to get the bumper off? How do I get to the other side of the bolts? Thanks, Pen

Hi, Just noticed that I have a small amount of brown residue on the bottom of radiator cap on R33 GTR. It's not like a complete chocolate milkshake gunky mess when the head gasket fails however (I've had that already). I'm wondering what the easiest testing procedure would be for myself before I get mechanic to check it out later. I could flush & have radiator pressure tested but wondering if this is the best idea. I wiped it off with finger today but it builds up over a period of months so I could take a photo when it builds up again. Cheers, Geoff

My car did a similar thing with warm starts with the PowerFC where it would hunt. I ended up using datalogit to try to relearn the start up procedure but it got worse. Took it to the tuner and they said it was leaning out which was causing the problem. They fixed it up and ever since its been fine.

Removed Boost Restrictor - Peaking Over 15psi

An R32 GTR is 20 years old - if you don't have $10,000 for a rebuild run it at the 12.5psi (exhaust raises stock boost). For the upgrade - factor in $1000 for tune as well but you might get injectors & cooler cheaper & turbo price would depend. -
and he's removed his GTR intake a few times as well.
