  1. anybody.. off R32 gts, GTS-T or GTR, doesn't matter.. if you are not sure if you have one, I can photograph where it sits.
  2. Sounds like your injectors are incorrectly wired up to 12V constant.. meaning when IGN is turned off, the spark continues. It's only when the fuel in the rail is expended that the motor cuts out. You don't have a turbo timer hidden away or anything like that? I'm not sure about the carbon continuing to burn.. but it's possible in theory.
  3. The mods you have suggested will cost you quite a few thousand dollars. So the call about the GTR is not altogether unreasonable. GTS4 to me is a bit of a no-mans-vehicle unless you want to spend a fair bit of money on it. And well, rb20det in a heavier chasis - what can you say... it's not a good combination. The only thing suckier than that would be having an auto strapped behind it.
  4. pretty sure they're the same.. Nismo FPR is listed as same for GTR and GTST.. I've also ran an rb25 FPR on an Rb20 without problems. Actually I was running the nismo on the rb20 for 3 months too
  5. pay $5k.. pay 3-4k for a decent quality paint job, and you have yourself one clean looking GTS.. the values are a bit askew on R32's and R33's like you say.. but no, not much chance of anything lower than $12k or so on a reasonable one.
  6. Have the block and head of an rb20det.. that is, the block and head only as you see in the photos. alternator not included Intake cam has been removed but otherwise complete and assembled. Rings may need replacing, but otherwise, was still working when removed from my car. Good candidate for a rb24 stroker, or rb20 build. **SOLD ** $100 the lot (pickup only from the gold coast)
  7. jeez, you really are up in rocky, this sort of news has taken you 2 weeks to reach you you really need a faster donkey does anybody really care? he knew the system was faulty and he flaunted it.. Like james is saying above.. And how many others right now are out there doing exactly the same thing right now, delaying points by dummy court appearances, etc, until a couple of old ones wear off so they don't lose their license? It's a common occurance. The only people that are "shocked" are those that don't know what is really going on out there.
  8. just pull the f**k out of it.. it may take some heavy pulling to 'pop' it out of the spigot.. you could also (if you have another one) try jacking the front of the motor up a little, to angle the box downward a bit. You did remove the shifter from up top right?
  9. the ECU doesn't get the fuel level! the dash however does.. trace from your cluster..
  10. Probably dodgy chopped to remove speed cut.. get down near the ECU and make sure pin 53 wire hasn't been cut. If your dash speedo is working, then the speed sensor is working, just the feed to the ECU has been removed.
  11. hehe, I lived there for 27 years.. I just like to stir work to live or live to work?
  12. but why do you want to go out when it's negative 10 degrees, most people are just drinking or eating to get over the fact they work from 8-6 because they have nothing else to do as it's shithouse outside.. and most people are too far up their ass to bother talking to anyhow ?
  13. just don't go to melbourne.. its cold and depressing.. And everybody leaves for QLD later on anyhow
  14. mine is running now.. just need to put the interior back together and bonnet on, etc. and I can drive it places
  15. lol.. justin you're such a trouble maker
  16. .. or a new engine
  17. runs just near the plastic gearshift surround (to a small grille on the RHS), is screwed just behind. If you have one, let me know.. -gordon
  18. what he said regarding the "receipt".. As for the de-reg papers, you may have to find somebody who can speak Japanese and is able to get a past record in the Japanese transport department or whatever it is over there. I got a poor photocopy with my car which seemed to be acceptable.. this could become a "photochoppy" for instance. It's going to be a stuff around, but I think if you put in another persistance you will get it complied I would think.
  19. lol.. with the size of that turbo and everything else I'll be well chasing tail-lights. nah, haven't had a chance to fiddle with the sideskirts but they dummy fitted fine.. also fitted some new rims (V35 ones for something different).. At the mo, just wanting to get it on the road.. and tuned. Then might think about getting the kit fitted...
  20. They may be old, but at least it works unlike the walbro.. I'm just down on the whole walbro pumps after a brand new one died in less than 3 months (thankfully not under high load conditions). I've never heard of anybody that has had a Bosch unit die on them.
  21. yeah, bhdave has a point.. little point doing the swap unless you have everything at a suitable standard. No point running an rb25 with everything else totally stock. even though I had my rb25 sitting there for a while, it wasn't until I had the full exhaust system, intercooler, some suspension, slightly larger turbo and brake mods in place to bother doing it.
  22. haha, maybe he's not so stupid.. If I was going to jail I'd probably do the same thing
  23. sure.. you know all that bling will weigh you down though andy
  24. benigno: josh'es car is starting to come together nicely with that kit you were fitting the other week. mine is nearly done.. just need to track down why I'm not getting any voltage to the injectors, and it should tick over. All else though is looking good. Hopefully sometime this weekend I can actually drive it down the road a little and see what i've forgotten to hook back up properly powerfc has also arrived (thanx gr3ddy!) so should come together nicely once tuned and ready. for mine I'm aiming for a track-reliable 220-230rwkw with a highflow rb25 turbo... with more emphasis on handling and response of the setup rather than outright power.
