  1. yeah, i got paid normally and any money received by the sheriffs dept for jury duty had to be given to my employer.
  2. if you are full time employed then your emploter has to legally pay you. If not.. then I'm not sure.... but what they pay you for jury duty is jack all.... I had to do it just last year, the case I was selected for lasted 5 weeks. I've been called before but not selected for any jury. that was about 4 years ago now... so it's just the luck of the draw I guess...
  3. This sites heaps better than Boostcruising..... http://www.hondahookup.com/forums/
  4. ooohhhh... that looks nasty.... hope you get it back on the road soon... Ahh... cable ties... is there anything they can't fix? just ask Mcguyver for help....
  5. Just a thought, why not make it a weekly challenge judged by a poll the following week. At the end of the week the winner would get to pic the next subject. I'd be a little more inclined to enter as well then...
  6. Went with 6. it's simple, blends in to the entire page really well... and dosn't stand out too much (for those of us that are on the forum at work...)
  7. Wow, this old argument again...... I’m starting to get really tired of it... if you guys want to brag about smoking some one at the lights or winge and expect simplify for your stupidity there are plenty of forums for it.... try Honda hookups.com kill stories section.... some of you guys know what i mean Anyway, I totally agree with Madbung and AzzurrA on this.... Hell most if not all of us have done plenty of stupid things on the road... but we get flamed for telling others that their actions’ are stupid. All we are trying to do is part with some of our "wisdom" regarding the consequences of these types of actions (and I don't mean purely by a license standpoint but the danger you guys create to others around you).... We don't want to end up being seen in the community as that "hoon forum" like that Holden forum from Perth that ended up with TV coverage cause of some of it's moronic members who choose to tell the entire world how they broke the law.... it's as dumb as admitting to arson, robbery or any other crime.... A lot of the guys here post things like your a dong, take it to the track... and rightly so... these are guys that have most likely lost points and do take it to the track... and you guys that are 2 fast and 2 furious for the rest of us, you don't get any brownie points from any of us for being hektic…. that’s my 2 cents Kthanx
  8. But I thought that was the entire point of the 80's.....
  9. the only reaosn i havn't been out yet for an SAU trackdays is cause the car is constantly in the repair shop of late... damn bomb!!! I used to go to other trackdays, but I'm yet to have my first outing with SAU... looking forward to the day im not broke too
  10. nope.... also there is a 787B and Toyota GT1 in black that pops up at the same time.... definitely worth the purchase.... Another good purchase is the tofu delivery SS version AE86... shows up occasionally in the used car lot. Regarding the sileight will turn up in the used car lot occasionally, but if you can't wait... check out the Silvia sisters race (Nissan manufacturers race)... it's the prize car... The Suzuki Escudo is a cool car to win as well...it's in the special conditions races... cathedral rock trial 1 Hard race. oh and the Merc Saber C9 for winning the formula GT is really cool bt hard car to get
  11. photo shoot mode? GTRs? no porsche but there are RUF's? almost starting to sound like GT4.... i'll check it out but I'm still not particulary excited about the Xbox yet.... still need some convincing before I buy one...
  12. yeah got a few, all nissans for some reason :S hehe I'm in the middle of a 300zx .... for the past year now... it's just so cramped in the engine bay ... have a 350Z and an S15 sitting there waiting for me as well... and I'm looking at a few different JGTC lines to purchase as well..... GTRsean, thats a very impressive collection there...
  13. Here is another quick one I did in a moment of boredom.... I really need a hobby....
  14. Very nice clean shots dude... the colour is fantastic as well.
  15. Sorta. I replaced the ignition coil. The car starts fine, but the tacho is still erratic... I'm thinking possibly the start motor might be the culprit as It dies yesterday as well... but I revived it with a hammer. So a new starter motor will go in probably this weekend and if the tacho is still acting up, then I'll probably check the wiring... don't want to pull the dash if I don't have to cause it's a real bitch of a job on a 280.... good thing is that at least the tacho isn't interfering with the engine running.... and since it's an auto sl*t, the tacho isn't all that important as long as the car knows when to shift... which it seems to have no problem doing...
  16. Well the camera angle is okay... but the front of the car is cut off... and the shot could be alittle closer as well. nice lil 86 though... i likes!!
  17. Valid point... although one Harley will fall under the required decibel limit, 20 or so cruising past is a different story... an issue I’ve discussed wit a few of the guys at my work (I work for Harley-Davidson Australia). Well some of the older models might not fall within the required sound limit, the new ones do however. It is definitely a system that could be abused if it was to be implemented and nothing more than a desperate bid for the govt to line their pockets with more of our hard earned cash for no reason. There seems to be no supporting evidence that this would in anyway prevent or reduce road fatalities or road rage. There is no supporting evidence for that matter that noise would in anyway contribute to above excitable levels of emissions. I hope this never comes into fruition, it’s a farce and a massive joke. /end rant
  18. I sat down on Sunday and had a game for the first time in months and I couldn't post a time I wouldn't be ashamed to post up here... I'll practice alittle more and put up a time shortly...
  19. Easy solution, just rig a speaker with a remote controling device to it (makeing sure it provides the right db of noise), place it on the noise camera... and go sit in a coffee shop nearby. when ever a copper drives past just activate for extra noise... hehehe
  20. Link New Camera Mails Tickets to Noisy Cars New technology allows police to mail automated tickets to cars with loud stereos and noisy exhausts. Transportation officials are looking to expand the use of photo enforcement to cash in on motorists who blast their stereos or use modified, high-performance exhausts. At least one agency has expressed interest in a ticketing system developed by Acoustic Research Laboratories, a New South Wales company that developed acoustic detection equipment for the Australian Navy. The fully automated setup mails traffic citations to passing vehicles that exceed a predetermined noise threshold. It can detect loud subwoofers, a noisy exhaust, or even an inopportune honk of the horn. A combination of sound level meters, cameras and computer processors identify these targets of opportunity. Separate microphone and video modules are pole-mounted in waterproof boxes that communicate with a laptop control unit using WiFi. The manufacturer claims that the system distinguishes predetermined trigger sounds from general background road noise. Once the system is configured, it will generate up to 10,000 tickets before the on-board hard drive is filled. A 10-second video and audio clip is stored for each incident. Similar red light camera and photo radar technology has generated billions of dollars worldwide. In Washington, DC alone, cameras billed drivers more than $171 million since 1999.
  21. cool, i'll get cracking on this tomorrow... after I replace the thermostat.... oh and with the GTR's are they modified or stock times?
